Luis Sinisterra

How are we judging him already. Laughable

I’m not going to judge him this early. But as sub appearances go it was very poor.

He looked completely disinterested, to the point that he looked knackered within seconds.

On the touch line couldn’t even be bothered to move a couple of yards to get onside to offer himself as a passing option.

The nicest thing I could say was he looked a tad rusty.

This 100%

The standing still not moving while offside and the move happening around him was pretty bizarre. It's one of the reasons I bumped this post. He really looked like someone on the pitch by mistake.

Yes, he has been injured for a while, and time to bed in, but his 'body language' was far from expected, regardless.

Hopefully one of those things, and he'll soon be up to speed and looking like the threat he most certainly can be at this level.

It was his warm up that perturbed me. Everyone else going through passing drills and focused and he was just trying outrageous ways of kicking the ball to make it spin. Like two mates down a park. The players with him weren’t amused as the ball was going everywhere and they had to keep running to get it. Everything I hear is that Al was desperate to keep Anthony.

What did you hear and from who?

May have wanted to keep JA, in an ideal world, but LS is a superior player... assuming we can get him focused and fit.

Seems odd for AI to suggest it to someone Neil may know...
He also claimed no manager in Premier league history had lost from 2 down, 3 times in a season. I found one season where 2 teams had lost 3 times from that position.
He also claimed 3 of our January signings scored less goals than, I think it was Anthony, again that turned out to be not true.

Weirdly David Brooks was doing the same thing during the warm up before the Chelsea game.

I have a good source at the club. Everyone thinks this is in my head. I’m not entering into discussing it and don’t care one jot if people believe it or not!

The first I thought was a unique record not one shared twice in history. Hardly a massive departure but yes was wrong.

The second one was scored for us.

I dont think you did make it up. But would seem odd for AI to think or say that. LS is a superior player.

Wondering if he said 'he wished he'd have been able to keep both/JA, but given choice prefers LS'.

Not sure why he'd prefer JA tbh.

Let's not forget though with kluivert, when he signed it was because of bills contacts at roma, when he has a poor game, it was Hughes signing all along

Because Hughes came out and said he’d been watching him for years. So the normal Roma connection that brought us Vina was superseded. Keep trying though. I have explained all this to you before.

As I understand it the three players that got Iraolas press instantly and were able to execute it were JA, Dom and Christie. The others either couldn’t follow it or could follow it but weren’t at the fitness levels (Brooks).

He was relying on them and hence why they’d been the most frequent starters or subs. The club had other ideas as viewed Sinisterra as better and he had been on our target list for years.
