Yep. Or transistor radios. I know that my Nan enjoyed twiddling the knob on what she would call her "tra*ny" back in the day. Say that today and you would certainly land in hot water.

I actually had an Instagram DM thread deleted because I was discussing Transit vans with someone and the word 'Tra*ny' ( with capital letter at the beginning, of course ) came up multiple times. Apparently the thread was deemed "discriminatory and offensive".

I didn't realise that Mercedes Sprinters were so sensitive ! :shrug:

The world's gone mad I tell ya !!!

Odd that the Forum lets us type 'trannies' but the singular form 'tra*ny' automatically gets transformed into 'transgender'. This made it a real PITA to type this post about Britain's favourite van :p

You must have gone to certain bar areas in Bangkok then.

It's an amazing place imo. Not many fat women for a start. Feels s bit like you're in blade runner at night, particularly when raining. 'Trannies' make up a tiny % of the population so not sure how much time you spent there or what areas you were hanging around in...

Doesn't feel seedy unless you go to particular areas of Bangkok or sex tourist resorts like Pattaya.

I spent a couple of months in Bangkok 20 years ago. One of my favourite places I've visited. Real attack on the senses :D

Yes..certain bar areas.....I didn't like the atmosphere and observations....however it was only 24 hours...thankfully I only indulged in eating and drinking !

Yeah certain stereotypes are easily found if you head to certain spots in the city.

How comes you ended up in them, wad it out of interest? Quite easy to avoid and find more 'normal' areas if you're strongly adverse to that kind of thing.

Accidental I think ....unplanned wandering....I was just passing time to a delayed ongoing flight...and wasnt particularly bothered about any enjoyment other than food and drink.

I’m pleased that none of your esteemed ladies lined up for the Crystals at Selhurst Park this last evening your Lordship- otherwise our hearty singers would have been stunned into silence.
 
I say chums, the old NNM are bringing us good Yuletide fortune!
And as we open our 7th window on the old advent calendar we celebrate our chaps’ brilliant performance last night against Palace.

Spare a thought for poor old Roy Hodgson though.
Things have continued to go wrong for him.
On his way to work this morning he was furious and tried to text his coaching staff to get all the Palace players in for early training…

A really beautiful Country full of lovely people,Bangkok is buzzing and totally safe in my experience. Hua Hin is my favourite area, great beach and 5 golf courses! Where else do you get wee monkeys running on the fairway to pinch your balls !
