Richard Hughes

There is no legal or any other f√cking requirement for a poster to answer another's question...and I would suggest that unless you actually want to answer....then, especially if you feel pressured, just fire back at them with sarcasm and mirth....it'll wind them up to head- banging in some cases....and maybe to getting immersed in some much needed introspection and hopefully in the long term they will remove their heads from the high altitude of their bowels.
Some of the little sh*ts think they own a kind of 'controlling watchdog presence.'

Speak your mind....be British...don't let the buggers grind you down....

Rule Britannia. No surrender.

I didn’t reluctantly accept it. I said as director of football he should have said I’m not signing two injured central midfielders to replace the player of the year. It shouldn’t even have gone to the medical team…

No he shouldn't. He should have recognised that we had the strength in depth to deal with them being out for a few games and sign them anyway because we couldn't get players of that calibre otherwise.

It's easy to just say things as if they are gospel isn't it. You pontificated about how amateur they were for putting O'Neil in the job.. week after week after week and you were completely wrong on that one too. So far you've been completely wrong about our ability to cope without injured players too.

You do realise you’ve also just said all of that as if it is gospel too. Just like you do about absolutely everything. Anyway havent you got people to bore to tears on the Newcastle thread?

I do yes, I did it on purpose to highlight how silly it is to declare that something is wrong, especially when the outcome hasn't been the catastrophe you've suggested it should have been.

If you don't like discussions on other threads just don't read them Neil.

You were speaking like it was gospel to highlight silliness. Is that why you do it 450 times a day on here. Less of a highlight and more like wall to wall vision Del.

I hope you aren't trying to take the moral high ground again. Especially on the topic of pontificating as if your opinion is gospel. Now that would be hypocritical.
It’s easy taking the moral high ground with someone whose only purpose is to spend his day setting up arguments with all and sundry and then ploughing on with them.

Lol, there is no moral high ground on an internet forum no matter how many times you try to claim it Neil.

I'm bang to rights in terms of arguing with people and obviously hold my hands up to it - how could I not? It's funny how you can't accept that you have an agenda against Richard Hughes though.

He wasn’t player of the year. Joke award for lerma

We’ve got to get through the FPP hurdle yet Rob. It’s more than the here and now. We need to get 25m back for Adam’s, and Traore… and Dango…. Can’t see a queue forming…
With out looking back. Where’s this sudden concern about FFP and we need to get 25m back for the above 3. I don’t think we’d have splashed out £20 on Sinisterra a couple of weeks ago if there was a concern.

he was suited to a different style to what we have now, if we didn't get AI then perhaps he would of played a more important role for us
Like he did under Gon?

A professional Director of football would have a philosophy and a style of play that you build a club around. You can then recruit managers and players to fit that mould.

It’s not about changing manager and style every year and having to overload transfer windows with players that turn out to be unsuitable for the next manager in.

I'm always a bit tickled by the idea that FFP is the problem.

Pretty sure Foley wouldn't be sinking billions even if he was able. I very much doubt he'll be writing off the allowed £90M a year that makes up the majority of the £105M permitted loss.

That's not a dig, he's investing in growing his business not spunking his wealth on a vanity project.

Tell Neil. lol.

It's all so desperate now. Verging on trolling tbh.

He doesn’t have to I can read ;)

I’m not just talking about the nuclear option of FPP leading to points deductions…

I’m talking about when you get to the stage where if people don’t want to buy the players you have you can’t go out and buy new ones.. we have to replace Solanke and Kelly I would suggest in the summer and with nobody in the ranks to do that and some of that money needed to maintain FPP rules you start to weaken…

Like Newcastle discovered with FPP and last transfer window when you can’t strengthen its hard.
