Tyler Adams

Does anyone seriously believe that Hughes made the final decision on the Adams signing anyway? He will obviously have explained his injury situation to Foley who will have then made the final decision. Iraola said as much in an interview that the club knew what they were getting themselves into with the signing. He was always signed as a long term option and not one to play immediately, it wasn’t a shock to anyone that it took so long for him to get fit. You can only argue that this was a flawed strategy if it cost us our position in the league, which it hasn’t. It was actually very smart. We will start next season with a top DM who we signed at well bellow his actual market value and we haven’t really lost anything in return (aside from the players wages.)
While I agree with you, I think the proof will be in the pudding for next season. If he has a relatively injury free season that should help to dispel the 'was it good value". However, if he has another injury troubled season then I think the shoe will be on the other foot.

The irony of you posting that to Waz is hopefully not lost on you Rob. He’s done nothing but knock the club, back other teams to finish above us and change his name since he’s joined…
Still playing the post and not the poster I see. Do you actually even believe anything you write?

I think there are a few signings where it may not have been solely Hughes. The Roma link and obviously the Lorient link are through Foley and you'd think it may be a case of take your pick from these available players. The Roma owner even tried to force Zaniolo to move to AFCB.

I've said before but I think this injury thing is a deliberate Moneyball type strategy and if it is you'd think Foley was behind that too given how it's not something we did before he arrived. Clearly injured players are cheaper because of the risk and if you get it right you are quids in. Risky though.
It’s almost like anyone that isn’t that good came via Foley and everyone good came from Hughes Del…. :grinning:

And there was me believing you that rich Americans get everything right..

I believe it enough not to come back as a different person every year to be fair…
Maybe you should as your clear agenda has left you with very little credibility when it comes to AFCB matters. You’re so delusional that you can’t even see yourself that your views are clearly agenda driven. You clearly feel that it is a sign of weakness to admit that you could have been wrong in any way so in your mind your only option now is to die on this weird hill. I admit my mistakes Neil, I have said and done things that I’m not proud of and would do differently if given the chance. And everybody deserves another chance, as long as they’re willing to admit their mistakes. Your ego makes you incapable of doing that.

Of course, if it turns out that his body is not physically capable of playing top level football then I will obviously reverse that opinion. But that’s all ifs buts and maybes.

Mate seriously. This is a wind up right?

You’ve fucked off three times having become an hilarious self parody account and come back with a new name twice lying about who you were before having to admit it.

And you are handing out lectures on credibility?

Next week on the forum reality and realism has a pop at someone for pessimism..

Yet the only self parody account round here now is you

Well I know what to do. Establish credibility by fucking off, coming back as King Unal, pretending I’m not Neil Dawson for a few months and arguing with anyone who claims I am, betting on Forest to finish above us, become a laughing stock, admit I’m Neil Dawson, fuck off again come back as someone else, deny I’m them… blah blah

You could argue that we rushed him back earlier than we should have, which probably just made his issue worse.

Nah mate. I’m not sure you know how this works.

20 minutes is all that’s needed to decide it’s a bad deal.

Starting for the USA vs Mexico in gold cup final tonight. USA not lost to the Mexicans in last 6 games. Should be good for when Tyler returns with us with another game under his belt

Anyone watching? He just sprinted to press after defending a corner and looked very fast.
