Scott Parker

wonder if its your club wanting replacement in place before announcements made?
So I’ve heard there is a couple of minor financial things holding it up, it won’t stop the deal happening. Fulham were all set to appoint Pereira, however, Eddie Howe has thrown his hat into the ring. He wants talks with Fulham, and he wants to bring Richard Hughes with him. Now I’m not convinced it will happen, I still believe it will be Javier Pereira taking over

I’m sure I read Eddie had his sights set on a PL club, surprised he hasn’t ended up at Palace thought that would be ideal for him.

Richard Hughes is literally the reason we have wanted Scott Parker for a year, they are friends.

If true about howe/Hughes that would make this one of the weirdest managerial merry go rounds ever.

It’s the breaking news on sky sports news ticker.

“Fulham are finalising a mutual termination of head coach Scott Parker’s contract.”

The issue with that is then Fulham have to pay Parker off, they don’t want to do that if Bournemouth want him and will pay

Seems the going rate in the Championship is £3.5 million in compensation, that’s what Fulham would have to pay Swansea if they want Cooper and his team.

As soon as I read (it may well have even been you) that Fulham would be looking for someone on the scouting/director side I thought it was ideal for Hughes. I thought Howe to Fulham was an ideal move for him. But then I also thought Fulham were slightly more ambitious than what I’m gleaning from your posts.

‘It is thought the 40-year-old has already put together his backroom team ahead of taking his next job, which is expected to be at Bournemouth when Jonathan Woodgate's contract officially expires on July 1.’

does that mean no announcement until then I wonder?

Does Eddie know that Fulhams DOF is the owners son?........can't see him replacing him with Hughes.........can't see Eddie working with any other DOF either.

Lol, puts an end to that rumour...
No so Hughes supposedly will come in (if it happens, which I doubt it will) as Director of Scouting, which basically is the DoF role at Fulham. The owner won’t sack his son, so we’ve had to create another role so as not to deflate Tony Khan’s massive ego. I still think Pereira is most likely

"Parker's team registered just five wins in the top flight last season."

By contrast, Eddie won 11 in his first PL season. I am really struggling to muster any excitement for this appointment.
Well, we're not getting Eddie back.

Parker may be good, he may be awful. Nearly every manager will have a failure on their CV at some point.

Its great everyone banding this or that name about, but we have no clue if they'd even like to be here. It looks like SP does so I'll give him a chance.

As stated above, Hughes is one of the main reasons (if not the only reason) we’re after Parker. Parker will know this, as will Hughes and Howe. There is literally zero chance that Parker comes to Bournemouth only for Hughes to go to Fulham. Sorry to say but your informant is having you on again.

Well, it’s finally happened. A feeling of inevitability loomed in September, followed by months of simmering hope, and now – despair. Last night relegation was signed, sealed and delivered. Like many, I’ve felt almost a numbness to the prospect over the past few weeks. Each weekend you go into the game thinking “If we could just get a win here…”, but the wins did not come, and we eventually ran out of time.

When trying to reflect on this season, one thought stood out to me; in terms of squad morale and unity, other than our 17/18 promotion season, we’ve not had such strong positivity and togetherness for a very long time. So why is there still such an overwhelming amount of toxicity floating about the club?

For me, it comes from one person: Tony Khan.
