Last week of the Transfer Window.

Apologies if there's already a thread on this. But we're leading up to the last week.

What are everyone's thoughts?

Any surprise outgoings?

Anymore incomings? (Other then rogers)

Nothing to Base this on but what if a team like Southampton came in for Cook? They're on the look out for a centre back.

is the loan window open after that date?
I love Jeff but is he now an expensive luxury?
loan move back to spain to get him off the wage bill?

I would have said that 10 days ago if he was up for moving but having seen our second half yesterday, I think we'd be wise to keep him. Only takes Pearson to get another knock and suddenly there is no-one back there and it's Kilkenny on his own. Lewis Cook is great but not sure how long it will take for him to be fit. Always the chance of a set back too.

Get Rogers completed. Then it absolutely has to be a centre forward. Give Solanke a rival / rest option, instead of running Dom into the ground every game.

Going to interesting how SP fits all those CM's into the team when Lerma comes back and Pearson is fully fit.
Who does he drop?
Haven't heard of the extent of Stans injury but he is really fragile so possibly need some more wide players.
Unbelievable to think that we still have S Cook, Smithy and Stacey to come back. With the young lads playing so well there is now some really good competition for places.
Just need a striker/ forward.

Surely the busiest transfer window for years if we get Rogers +2 more.
I was thinking at the game yesterday there wasn’t one player who has been with us longer then 3 years on the pitch after Stanislas went off. Mepham was probably the longest serving?

It was always going to be a big rebuild,we have lost a lot of players since relegation.

Boruc
Rammers
Begovic
Ake
Daniels
Franno
Ibe
Fraser
Wilson
King
Rico
Surridge
Brad Smith
Danjuma
Simpson

I'm sure there is more

We need another attacking midfielder as well as a striker and winger (Rogers) imo. If we are serious about challenging then we need two senior players for each position. We currently have only three attacking midfielders, one of which is an injury prone stanislas. We also only have two out and out wide men, I don’t include Stanislas in this for two reasons. One, due to the fact I don’t think it’s his natural game to hug the touchline like Parker wants from his wingers. And two, asking a player as fragile as Stanislas to cover 2 squad spots in different positions would be idiotic.

....think we might see S Cook and Lerma exit...

...we do need a striker, winger and attacking midfielder IMO

Interesting that nobody mentions a goalie.

Travel has looked a lot better and seems to be gaining confidence as no1 but for me he still doesn't command his area.

It would be interesting to understand SPs thinking on whether he want to persist and hope that he continues developing with more first team football.

Or maybe Nyland is the answer.
