Ofoborh

It’s only a good thing that it’s now been picked up. Now it’s just a career roadblock rather than a fatal incident waiting to happen. Hopefully he gets support from Rangers throughout this process.

Exactly my thoughts. This is evidence of the screening introduced after a number of players had heart attacks some resulting in death.

It's obviously going to be hard to take for him but his body hasn't changed just his understanding of it so it's positive. He will drop his risk of dying on the pitch and may still be able to have a career.

According to Rangers Ofoborh has a potential heart problem and is undergoing a prolonged series of tests. Hope he is OK. It was first mentioned in July but don't remember seeing anything on here.

Let's hope it's treatable and nothing serious.
Good luck to the lad !

Our former player who signed for Rangers in Scotland then discovered a heart problem sounds like he's had a really rough ride the last couple of years.

All sounds a bit murky. Fingers crossed it gets sorted and he can get his career going again.

Hope he will be alright....he looked a tremendous prospect in some online clips of Development games...but his Life Health overall is paramount !
Nice if Bournemouth could find him some kind of job at the club if playing Football is not possible any more.
I also hope he’s ok and gets back into football at some level again. As for us providing jobs for every ex player who hits hard times - forget it. He also decided to jump ship with Simpson and on going to Scotland we missed out on any development fee that we’d have received had they gone to an English Club. In short we owe him nothing but he’s owes us for the money we spent developing his game. Sad story but his bad luck is not our fault.

Sounds like he is trying to find a new playing contract rather than looking for work that say Ryan Mason faced

How nice....good ol' mercenary Afcb fans...( and they wonder where I get the 'elitist' angle from )..
...but it's Ok for the likes Danjuma and King to ' jump ship ' for more Money.
Oforbh probably wanted to eventually play in Red and Black at Dean Court for the 1st eleven...after his ' development '...therefore not giving him that chance when he showed promise maybe hints at wasting his time, hastening his choice to depart..
" develop me and play me "..."otherwise what's the point of staying"..would be apt utterances from the guy !

However " He owes Us.. and We owe him 'Nothing' .. .the MONEY Lark !!!
Just a few 'angles'. that's all...maybe right ...maybe wrong...
At the end of the day...Today....he doesn't appear to be in top condition healthwise...so that's concerning.

..Jesus Christ.. why do I bother !

Jeez that's harsh reading!! He did what seemed right for himself at the time. I agree that we don't need to give him a job, but who cares if he and Simpson wanted to go and try out their luck with Gerrard in Rangers. They were under no obligation to do anything other than what seemed best for their careers. Anyway, had Nnamdi not gone, his condition might not have been detected.

Well...here we are .

All that comes to past ..passes this point .

Few of us will be correct to any high degree about things we've reflected on or predicted. ...but you know ..you have to go with your flow and trust it to reward you somehow.
Things did or didn't impress you and you recorded your thoughts and sent it out.
People did or didn't impress you and you made them aware of your take on the subjects discussed.
Essentially you are best being you and not advised to spend too much time trying to please others....and be good at that...you have to be...then periodically you need to praise yourself for something even if most of what you did was not your best efforts according to your strengths .. because there's not much chance of you being perfect in anyone else's estimation !

I’m not sure why you bother either ? I’m not criticising him - merely pointing out the facts of the situation. Do you feel we should offer jobs to every player who ever pulled on a shirt for us when they hit hard times ? This guy was here 5 mins and was a fringe player at best. I’m sorry for him and wish him well in his recovery but that’s where it ends. As I said - we owe him nothing else. Perhaps you’d like to outline why you think otherwise and suggest just what sort of roles we should create for ex players and how many there should be ?
