AFC Bournemouth v Nottingham Forest - Sunday 2 pm

Nope, not at all, genuinely want to see her do well. She’s managed to claw her way to the top despite all the added challenges she has due to being a woman.

But she was awful, started the game letting the game flow and letting some of the more physical stuff go, like a EFL ref does. Then she flipped and started giving those decisions as fouls. She did this for both sides. She struggled to spot pushed and niggly stuff, shirt pulls. Missed them all. It turned into a lottery of what would be given or not given.

Kluivert, she had 3 different occasions to send him off and didn’t, you’d be very mad about that if it had been vice versa.

The Billing sending off was correct.

To compound it all, unless the stadium clock was wrong but she blew up early to avoid any more controversy just incase we scored from the corner.

Agree with this, I thought she was poor although the red was correct.

Terrible game after the first 20 mins, but the in ground criticism of the ref was little to do with her being female, but being inconsistent. Just like male refs.

A good ref would quickly identify that one team's tactics were to "play the man", not the ball - it was like watching Burnley under Dyche. An early booking for one of their incessant wrestlers, fallers/screamers would have helped stop it as a tactic, but she let them away with it.

She wasn't terrible, or worse than any other ref - it's just a theme with most PL officiating. It's why managers like Dyche etc excel - the anti-football game plan, break up the play, con the ref etc.

She got the Billing call right. And we were not a good watch today.

Onwards and upwards.

Said before the game that forest are a different team since they changed managers. It was hard enough to beat them with a man extra so a point today wasn't bad. You wouldn't think they'd be in danger of going down but it seems that last spot is going to be very hard to predict give the way teams down there are playing.

AFCB very poor today but at least we got something from the game.

........... especially with a points deduction lottery. I'd hate to see that that decides the final standings.

Trash Ref who ruined the game along with the gamesmanship tactics of a Forest team I detest…that said we were poor and Kluivert should have been sent off for two yellows…survived with a draw in the end Billing was stupid raising his studs down the ankle of the Forest player and the red probably was deserved…a under par display though from us…

One man doesn't make a team but we really missed Christie once he went off.

As for Phil Bill silly billy the ref had no choice.

We still hung on for a point.

One of the worst referees I’ve ever seen. Must be a publicity stunt to have her in the league because she’s clearly not experienced
Exactly this. It is all about publicity. Being able to say the ' best league in the world's has a female referee. Look at us, we're really PC. Fast tracked to the PL with next to no match experience so the pgmol and the FA can tick a box. I have no issue with having a female referee but think that the male referees that have worked their way up to the championship level of officiating may feel hard done by that she has been fast tracked. She lost the plot today and her inexperience showed. She was not good. Will we ever see a female referee the Manc derby, or the Scouse derby? No. Chuck the female down to Bournemouth v Forest, no ones interested in it and the box can be ticked.

I was always concerned about this one with such a short turn round from Thursday night. We should have played it on the Monday night instead. Looked very leggy against an awful diving ref conning florist side. Ref was totally out of her depth and at the end decisions were just random. Anyway another point in difficult circumstances.

Probably one if not the worse game I have seen at Dean Court this season.

Started off fine and we got an early goal.

But what followed was disappointing, the game was bitty, inconsistent refereeing decisions and stop and start, don’t know how many times the referee blew her whistle for ’fouls’, just seen the stats.

A game I would like to forget and probably the referee will to after the reception she received at the end of the game.

Then to top it off Billing did a silly tackle and got a red card.

Stats AFCB 9 shots, 2 on target. Forest 8 shots, 6 on target.

31 fouls in the game.

31 fouls? I've a good idea, let's blame the ref, easier to do than self reflect. That's 4 points dropped in as many days. Both games were there for the taking.

He’s playing a good amount for his first season considering he’s been injured and is having an impact whether from the bench or starting.

Currently, there are other players who are more effective in the pressure as a number 10 and it’s tough to break the Cook-Christie duo in their current form.

His time will come to be the first name on the team sheet, I have no doubt, but because of how good the team is working lately, he needs to do more to get there.

Good problem for us.

In any event, a good team needs 16/17 in form players to sustain performance throughout the season and he’s in that group.
Well there we are then....he and they best get the f√ck on with it !

The same ref was excellent at QPR I thought.

Utterly out of her depth today. Not up to PL level speed and shithousery. Inconsistent, players had no idea what constitutes a foul or was fair, she made it up as she went along. Then I think became more stubborn as the crowd got increasingly on her back, trying to show strength.

Bottled it at the end by blowing up early.

Must admit I want her to do well too but she didn't have a great game today.
Who'd be a referee?

By the way, this female ref officiated at the highest level of the Bundesliga and was very good. It certainly can happen. Bibiana Steinhaus, married to Howard Webb.

Having a little more time to reflect on it a points not actually that bad.
How many times in seasons gone by have we lost that sort of game, against a physical side that's not come to play football.
Also scheduling 2 games within 65 hours of each other makes a mockery of having a winter break. The quick turnaround between games did us no favours, especially with the kind of football we play
