It may have been Perez's plan to get into management rather than be an assistant in England. Iraola never seemed to make a big deal about wanting him as his assistant and there didn't seem to be a lot of urgency on behalf of the club to make it happen.

I've no idea btw, just wondering.... It's funny that you're always accusing me of angrily trying to start arguments though.
 
Now he is a manager then maybe can get a work permit so could resign straight away and still join us?
 
I’d imagine he was always coming here but this has landed in his lap. The qualifications he needed were never going to be quick ones
 
Really sad. All coaches need a great counterpart. Great it’s worked out for him in the end. The Hilton Bournemouth will be gutted too!
 
Is this a possible breach of contract issue. Not saying it will play out this way with third parties determining but would an Iraola contract include his back room staff of choice

What now? I would hope the club will investigate why or we can continue to be tinpot and allow other clubs to do what they want and we cannot.
