Arsenal and Manchester United both have had points deducted.

A football association disciplinary commission decided to fine both clubs £50,000 each as punishment for the fight involving 21 players at Old Traffordon October 20. In addition to the fine, two league points were deducted from the Gunners and one from United.

Midway through the second half, fighting broke out after Nigel Winterburn made a lunging tackle on United full-back Denis Irwin.

Brian McClair and Irwin retaliated against Winterburn and Anders Limpar, whose goal earlier in the game saw Arsenal win the match 1-0, with Paul Ince also heavily involved.

Looks like it's going to happen, we're all starting on minus points. Then the slate's wiped clean, we're all punished for breaking the rules but no one gets an advantage. We're all winners and losers at the same time : )

As if you've watched any lower league Scottish football in decades, if ever.
Mid 1980s while based in Scotland on a ship.
At Falkirk and Raith. Two of my mates supported those clubs and I went with them on the relatively short distance from Rosyth.
Also saw a few Dunfermline games during my 18 months up there.

I can't say f√ck -all, can I, on this pile of crap Forum?

There's so much to criticise about pro-football in terms of money ruining the game, and I'd probably agree with it.

But for many, including myself, it has meant so much more. It opened up a whole life for me. It made me work things out just to get to a game; it inspired me to travel and see places all over the country that I never would have otherwise; I met my wife at a game and now I'm hoping that our two year old grandson will take up the mantle one day; I've made so many friends over the years by watching afcb; I first got interested in accessibility because of the appalling conditions disabled people had to endure at football.

And on a matchday, all of those things above are the only things that matter.
