Tyler Adams

Think Andoni Iraola will gradually bring Adams back after his long time out, probably replacing him with Cook some time in the second half.

Our manager will hopefully now be looking towards next season now with our team starting in the Premier League for the seventh time, with a two season gap in between and having the US captain fit and raring to go.
Has Andoni signed for next season? Doesn't he typically do one-year contracts?

(note that I may have it all wrong )

I’ve seen lots of people waxing lyrical about him, but I didn’t see what others saw. He went generally unnoticed by me apart from at one point telling Billing he had the ball, only for Billing to nab it because Adams was about to lose possession without realising.

Needs far more game to judge him and with Cook and Christie pairing so well we can ease Adams back after a long injury.

I think thats the type of player he may be Does the simple things and takes up correct positions without you really noticing

I can appreciate that, the type of player that keeps the game ticking.

Just don’t think he was up to the pace of the game when he came on to do this. But looking forward to seeing more of him. He’s been a long time sidelined.

Don’t agree with that, thought he looked assured in possession and put in a promising showing considering it was his first competitive football in months.

Can't see Cook being drooped. Was one of our best players last night again. 2nd goal was Smith's fault for chasing the ball. And 1st goal he may have lost chong but if Scott does his job and goes with their player the cross doesn't come in. Did play Barkley on for 3rd though.
Maybe Adams for Christie though?
The highlights never really showed what happened prior to Luton's third goal. Dango was supporting Sinisterra and overlapped him but he got barged off the pitch right in front of us in the Ted Shed. Dango ended up flat on his back off the pitch.

Unfortunately the Luton right winger is the second fastest sprinter in the PL. Sinisterra couldn't catch him by the time he reacted and by the time Dango got to his feet the action was in our half.

If Dango is expected to get so high up the pitch and overlap then someone has got to cover him.

Not sure that is sinisterra’s strength unlike say a Tav - that’s why I prefer him as a central player as he likes to go for goal

Agree. I thought squad selection this was a bit early in his physical recovery process but evidently both club and USMNT reps have discussed. Maybe psychologically, as the USMNT Captain, it will be good for him.
Good to build up fitness outside the prem competition

So sad when people make early opinions on signings. I thought he was excellent.

I see a man panicking Christie will be on the bench. No need. He will move to the ten with specific instructions to press, weave some magic turns but never, ever shoot. Even four yards out Ryan with the keeper knocked out… find someone to pass it too.

More of the usual knocking of our players, laced with delicious irony.
