Tyler Adams

Unless he appears out of nowhere on the bench tomorrow, at this point it may be better to write the season off rather than risk aggravating something again for the sake of one or two matches, at most. He isn't going to get properly match fit in those.

Not sure what's going on as the last I think we heard was the back spasm and that was several games ago.

USA have a couple of friendlies scheduled and then the Copa America tournament this summer. I hope he isn't selected as the pressure to go all out in a knockout situation would mean the risk of breaking down again would be higher than normal.

Instead, take the chance to get 100% fit and then come back for a complete preseason so he's prepared for the strain of a full season.

Football is a funny old game.

In many respects the partnership between Cook and Christie has been able to improve them and team performance. This probably wouldn’t have happened if Adams had been fully fit.

It’s an ill wind……..

:utc:Always!

Foley will want him fit enough to play in the pre season tour I'm sure.

If he's fit enough for Copa America, I can't see any way he doesn't play, and play hard.
It's the biggest international competition the USA is in, apart from the World Cup.

I know its weird, but I prefer to look on the positive side and really hope Adams will be ready to play for us fully next season.

Meanwhile, we've broken our points record, and we can enjoy tomorrow without any pressure. Even finishing 12th will be a successful season.

You mean you don't salivate at the prospect of our players being injured? What a weirdo!

We all hope he will be ready to play next season. We all hoped we’d spend 25m on players ready to play this season, not ones with major injuries. I don’t think that’s a negative view though do you?

Cracking shot for those with a sweet tooth…..

I should have shared a cocktail ingredients with my suggestions. Will do moving forwards. Hughes Booze News, coming soon.

Thanks for the idea.
A lager top is a cocktail in my book Neil.
Yours are all gobbledygook to me.

Maybe list all of the recipes in a new “Another x Richard ?” thread ?
I’d read it !
Never too old to learn and all that ! ;)

I have liked your post Mr Trent, but you seem to have forgotten my top half finish bet.

Yes I do. You put these comments in a negative context, with one stated aim.

I'd say that we've had a good season with an improving squad, and a lot of that is down to your bete noir. I imagine there are many clubs who've had similar or worse signings.
