Guinness or Heineken?

I'm confused, i thought the whole appeal of beer was the effect it has on the brain. I don't understand all the selective preference/snobbery over it all, I'm quite content with my choices as I sit here drinking my can of Happy Shopper larger : )

But there is a proper debate to be had over pie, chips, peas and gravy

That’s my take on it too which is why I find it odd when people drink zero percent lager when driving. I’m always looking at them thinking you actually like the taste? Just a means to an end for me and if there’s no alchohol in lager I don’t see the point in drinking it but each to their own.

There’s only so much lemonade or coke I can drink on an evening I’m driving. Low and zero has come on a long way in recent years IMHO.

I agree. But have you tried Heineken 0% ?
I tried it once. Evil stuff. Tastes like you’re drinking it out of a used ashtray. Like Kaliber did back in the day, but 30 years later and not a jot better.

Some of the Spanish 0% beers are getting pretty good !
Keep an eye out for them when they make it to the UK.

I see that Guinness has a 0% version which seems to be going down well over there. Can anybody on here confirm if it’s any good ? I’m yet to find it or try it myself.

Guiness 0% is virtually identical to the real thing. Closest match to its's alcoholic brother i've found so far.

The ciders are pretty good at getting close too. Harder for the beers & lagers though.

Lager wise, Bavaria 0% is decent.

Pie chips peas and gravy is the food of the Gods, Regent Fish Bar..Eccles Tram stop do the best ever
 
Neither for me from over here. Good Molson Canadian 5.0. If I have to go non-Canadian, don't mind a Stella. We have a local brand, Sleeman, which makes a good variety.

Guiness 0% is one of the best I've tried.
Another is Secret Sobriety by Downton Brewery which is relatively local. That one is just a hop bomb and weirdly I find drinking it has a relaxing effect.

You’ve definitely been to a bring your own sample party with KBG Dragon. Definitely the best Blackadder episode for me though.
