AFC Bournemouth v Brighton - Sunday 2 pm

I loved our aggression and energy for most of the match. There was maybe a little lull near the end of the first half. I also noticed that Senesi and Kelly switched sides after about 30 minutes, then Kelly switched back when Hill came on late. Interesting.
I was worried when we squandered two golden chances to start the second (Kluivert was very selfish on his). I thought we might lose the lead, but in the end we played with much more fight than them. The officiating and Semenyo's injury were the only dampers on the proceedings, for me.

I was dearly hoping for a Seagull Steve visit today....but he probably remembers me carving him up a few times....there were signs he couldn't handle my witticisms even after they'd beaten us !

Great second half but I was amused by the way the commentator kept wishing for a Brighton goal "to make it a really exciting finish". I was excited enough as it was, thank you. Pleased Unal got one - eventually ;) and Kluivert motm but superior right across the pitch. Commentator kept banging on about how many Brighton players were out but then suddenly remembered Tav, Zab, Adams, Kerkez and Mepham were all unavailable, they only got the one mention though. They got away with quite a lot, that goal kick for what should've been a corner was disgraceful the lino should be dropped, and Branco's foul on Dango made me wonder if Brighton have paid extra not to have penalties given against them.

Travers didn't have much to do but did it well enough (for most people).
I don't know what Smith's on but I could do with some of it myself.
Has AI performed the same trick with Outtara as he did with Christie? He looks very good at LB.

Very good performance. We are comfortably better than Brighton.

Good to see Unal on the scoresheet especially as he'd missed a couple of chances. Cook brilliant again, Dango very capable in the position and doesn't get exposed when there's a hard worker ahead of him.
Is Dango our fastest player based on a straight-line run? Who would win a race from the half-way line to a goal?
On the same topic, who would be the fastest while dribbling a ball? Kluivert?

Brilliant team performance this afternoon and there were a number who could be MOM today, but for me I will give it to Travers who since coming in at Wolves kept his second clean sheet today.

Kluivert gets better with each game, what pace he has when he has the ball and another great finish for our third goal.

Unal good headed goal from a good cross from Ouattara.

Senesi there again with a header to put us in the lead.

The icing on the cake was breaking the club record for the most points in a season which was 46 and now we have 48 points and still three games to go.

Very unfortunate for Semenyo and our team with that injury time injury which it seems has finished his season.

Just mentioning on Solent he is leaving on crutches.

Very satisfying performance only marred by the injury to Semenyo.

Not sure what the recruitment critics are going to grumble about tonight.

First goal scored by our £13m centre back who now has four goals and seven assists this season. Is there a centre back in Europes top five leagues with more goal contributions than Senesi? I’ve not looked but I doubt it. What a find he was for that price.

Second goal scored by our recently signed centre forward who finished with aplomb and caused them problems all day with his intelligent movement. Only early days but looks another very good find for the quoted £15m. Created by a player who is roundly criticised by many and used as a regular example of this ‘poor recruitment.’ Well, there you go, that is what Dango gives you. He may be erratic but in moments he can produce pieces of individual brilliance, support the lad because there is real potential there.

And the third scored by our £8.5m attacker who is looking to be one of the bargains of the season, finished expertly. He was unplayable at times today. Created by our £1.5m midfielder who has established himself as one of the best number eights in the league.

If our recruitment under Franno is anywhere near as good as it was under Hughes then we are in for a few very good years ahead.

So much to be positive about.

Much credit to Dango for the perfect cross for the 2nd, having been sent a bit wider than necessary he had to hurry it. Perfect header back across into the far corner too.

After possibly losing Semenyo for some time not quite a day on a par with the 5-0 at there's, but still very enjoyable.

Great performance today well done to everyone involved. I'm not a fan of Dango but he also had a good game, credit to him. Justin Kluivert.... what a player he is!

You mean the embarrassing homophobic jibes.......yeah I bet that really wounded him.....honestly Brian your lack of self awareness is cringeworthy.
