Adam Smith

I recall Eddie dislocating his knee in the late 90’s. I think he said at the time the pain was unbearable but was back after 5 weeks.

So if it is just a dislocated knee rather than ACL, it might be worse for Smith in the short term pain wise, but hopefully not so long a road to recovery.

Same experience for me, however 'back after 5 weeks' was training once a week with the other 4 people who could be bothered to turn up...

Mings is rehearsing for a part in the Christmas production of Bambi on Ice. In the U 21 games I've watched him in you just don't know what he's going to do next.

Defender Adam Smith is undergoing scans on the knee injury he sustained at Newcastle on Saturday

afcb hope to find out more about the extent of the injury when he visits a knee specialist tomorrow
 
Expecting him to be out for the rest of the season. We really will need to get someone in to play/cover right back in January if that is the case.
 
Eddie seemed to acknowledge that Daniels was to follow the path taken by Tommy Elphick and spent good money on Brad Smith and Rico yet Daniels seemed to have weathered the storm. However, Francis at right back has been more of a concern for some considerable time and there has been much debate on here about replacing him. That delay might now come to haunt us.
 
Thing is....luckily we are way ahead on points than where we could have been...so getting through to January shouldn't knock us back too much, even with the teams we have to play. Franno has been ok, aside from Saturday, so Daniels and Rico to battle for the left side ....by which time we know the extent of this injury lay-off....and can decide whether further signings are needed.
