AFC Bournemouth v Aston Villa

Bournemouth win and out of the Relegation Zone. And Leeds' bottle-job continues with a loss at home to Wigan. What a day to be alive.

Defensively superb today, their goal was a bit of a freak deflection that fell to him. Franno and Ake immense (but please only play Franno CB - he really has zero pace). Billing was back to his early season best. Rico and Fraser on the right side worked their socks off.

Great pressing all over the pitch from the start set the platform for the win. Finally!

Terrible to see the reputation that Lerma has with refs. They obviously think so badly of him that they see fouls EVEN WHEN NO FOUL OCCURS. Think Eddie will have to start subbing him after the first yellow regardless.

Not often you win s game after missing three sitters..... luckily Villa are as sh1t playing against 10 men as we are..... although the same could be said for any team outside the top six tbf....big call by Eddie playing Franno ahead of Cookie....our captain paid his faith back with a fantastic performance......my god if he hadn't!!!!..Rico is brilliant at what he does....defending!.... growing on me more and more.
Billing is going to be huge for us with Lerma missing....looks a different player.
Wee Man put in a huge shift as did Harry Wilson!
In fact I could mention every player on the pitch....played for the manager and us......:utc:

Not sure why Franno for Cook at CB, but credit to him, Franno barely put a foot wrong today.

Need to see the Lerma 2nd yellow incident again, but sounds like Taylor was conned with that one. No chance of VAR overturning it as it's not used for YC incidents.

Good to see the old AFCB back these last 2 PL games (bar the first 30 mins v Brighton). Keep that going and we should be safe enough..

Cook unfortunately has been off form for a while. Stupid “reflex” at Norwich hardly deserves to walk straight back into the back four.

Even if him and Ake on form are obviously the best pairing.

Saying on the way back on radio that Lerma would miss one game.

BBC website says two games, Sheff U and Burnley.

Shouldn’t it be one game for two yellows?

One game ban but remains on nine yellows and one yellow card away from a two game ban.

So Solent were correct.

This on BBC website is wrong.

The one sour note for Howe and the home crowd was the sending-off of Lerma on 51 minutes. The Colombia midfielder received both yellow cards for tussles with Villa's star man Grealish and will miss the Cherries' next two games, away to Sheffield United and Burnley.

Reflections later, but Jefferson Lerma will serve a one-game ban for today’s red card, and revert to being on 9 yellow cards for the season. Gets another two games when he reaches ten.
