AFC Bournemouth v Blackburn Rovers

Different interview on COWS.

From what JT says in this interview re Simon Francis, might have interpreted it wrong, but sounds like Simon may be coming back in some capacity at the club.

Franno did say in his farewell interview that he would prefer to continue playing but that if no suitable offers came in, he would consider coming back to be part of the AFCB setup. So presumably he has not had any joy so far in finding another club.

Just been reading this article on our opponents today.

They have lost 8 players this season, including experienced ones.

Also says how difficult it is to get the players they want.

“We are working hard really hard behind the scenes, the staff they sit for hours in the video rooms watching presentations, every touch a player has over 90 minutes and then another player and assessing whether they can do the job for us.

“There’s been some long nights watching footballers and then you go and try and see if you can do the deal and As we’ve found we’ve got quite a way down that path and then the plug gets pulled for whatever reason. It’s a frustrating job to get the players you want, unless you’ve got hundreds of millions and you pay whatever the price is.”

Its too late to bring in new signings...they wont have featured in the ' big' friendly pre- season build up...a Cup Winning force of 'quality players' ....so it would be another case of disrupting a settled side assuming we start well and sit near the top!
If we have this quality squad...why buy more in?
