AFC Bournemouth v Crystal Palace - Tuesday 7.45 pm

Always find v Palace tough game to predict. Hopefully we'll deliver the goods, to cement us finishing above them (and Jeff...) this season.

Possibly one of the most boring non-descript clubs these days, who've managed to linger in the PL for so long.

You summed them up perfectly boring and never give them a second glance

AFCB won against Everton with a late winner....
We did, but we did not score the winner, they did. We still looked off the pace during the game. Against Palace we will be suffering from tiredness and fatique after having to play two games in quick succession after the international break of which is a concern

I’ve looked at the last 4 league games for C Palace. These were two home games (Burnley and Luton) and away at Spurs and N Forest. C Palace gained 5 points although the xGs suggested this was an unfair reflection, with 7 being more likely with C Palace being dominant in the home games. C Palace have scored 6 goals and conceded 5 with xG estimating 6.64 goals with 3.75 conceded.

C Palace have had 4 different goal scorers with Mateta having scored 3 goals. Franca has 2 assists with 3 players having one assist each.

The average positions of the starting line-ups are below. In the home game versus Burnley, Palace were attacking, but Burnley were down to 10 men after 30 minutes. Palace sat back against Spurs, and were medium against Luton and Forest.

The following graph compares summary stats of C Palace and AFCB over the last 4 games. On the underlying stats AFCB are doing well offensively with more goal attempts, big chances, xG and goals scored, but with C Palace having the better stats defensively in particular for big chances conceded. This is not dissimilar to the stats before the Everton game, so it may be another dour encounter.

AFCB have more percentage possession at 50%, with C Palace at about 40%. Palace have been good at set pieces, creating more chances and conceding less chances from dead-ball situations.

You should show some concern for Palace. After the international break where their players will be suffering from tiredness and fatigue, they have to play two games in quick succession including having to travel to both of those away games.

Yes but they only get fatigue, we get fatique, a much more serious condition....................................

Give him a break. He's currently suffering fatique from monitoring the forum for Russian/Chinese influence around upcoming US election.

Never mind Mothercare security, he's now focused on Motherland security.

Easily swayed though. Just buy him an old Audi A4 1.6 Diesel (non turbo-charged, with RS4/audisport stickers all over it.

neighbourhood watch sticker in rear window usually means its him, should you see it on the road.

If mobilized on foot, typically has mobile phone equipped in a holster, and wears a blue tooth headset. Presence and posture gives assurance he is complete control of the vicinity, and is ready to action if required.
