AFC Bournemouth v Stoke City

Well done to Bournemouth in ensuring Stoke are still in trouble. Across the city at Port Vale we are so accustomed to their so called "humor" or "banter" if you will owing to our lowly position and meager resources. On many, many occasions following a poor result it is always the ref's fault or the opposition cheating or both, rarely because they were rubbish.

Cheers mate, for a team that perfected the dark arts of football Stoke always whinge more than any other lot when someone does it back to them (not that we did on Saturday)
Good luck to Vale.

Thanks for coming on here VSLF and best wishes for the rest of the season.
Despite where we are now all Cherries fans know only too well what it's like for their Club to be hanging on by the skin of its teeth on and off the pitch. I'm sure we all hope that you pull through OK.

As for the miserable Stokies you could tell them that their team would have more chance of winning games if their players were properly fit enough for PL football. Our boys were still going strong after 90+ minutes whereas most of the City players were out of it after 70 minutes.

Thanks very much my friend. We all whinge about the ref and the opposition on occasions, penalties and offsides etc but the lardies (as we call them at Vale!) seem to do it all the time. We (Vale) are struggling right now. In my view the whole club has been poorly managed in the last couple of years. We should be a solid league 1 club with aspirations of the championship. That is a long way off right now. Hope to be playing the lardies in a couple of seasons!!!!

Watched MOTD and just watched extended highlights on Sky.

Both commentators mentioned Shaqiri as the smallest player on the pitch, now did they forget about Ryan Fraser?

Shaqiri 5’ 6” is nearly 2” taller than Fraser.

Tony Gale on our stadium after the commentator had said what an atmosphere from all four sides of the stadium in a ground of 10,000, but at times sounds of a crowd of four times that. Tony Gale, give me a stadium like this any day, only holds 10,000 but with a great atmosphere.

Tony Gale again on why he likes watching AFCB because of the way we change our set pieces and do something different.

You can really tell when they're commentating on highlights only; before the Mousset goal:

"Bournemouths set piece delivery has been really poor- lets if it changes now"

Wink wink, nudge nudge
