Oh eck! ...another pint follows that! I can't leave out ..Another Fred! Marsden of Boscombe 1934-48. This Fred played before... and after War service ...for us, 194 appearances including the famous near promotion season 47-48. By all accounts one of our very best fullbacks ! My dad would talk often of him and Joe Sanaghan( 169 apps) the other full back who played for us either side of ww2! Christ, I'm supposed to be cutting down on Pint intake( cholestrol )!

...remember being in goal for a local footy team playing in the Wednesday League at Slades Farm...and KB was playing striker for the opposition team...I recall he clattered me when I went up to try and catch a cross ball from a corner...we both enede up rolling on the deck...he was a big unit tbf!
