Should have gone ahead when we were on top. This lot worked us out as the game wore on in 2018 and there's worrying signs this could go the same way.
 
Another day Foden’s shot would have gone in and that could have had a different impact on the game.

Basically that has been our only chance in the game and Croatia not threatened Pickford.

Need to keep Modric under a tight grip in the second half because we know he can change a game.
 
Feel for Chilwell but Trippier has been good and ultimately probably can help Mings out a bit more (though he’s been fine so far, you know the error is coming).
 
Croatia...if their not taking the game by the scruff...not hard to do...won't relish Grealish...probably our one hope of evading that tough tackling defence!

Something Eddie always said, you need to give your players confidence to be brave. That was a brave run from Phillips. Too often we see England play within themselves and not take a risk here or there
 
Good start with a win.

One class pass and Sterling did enough to get the ball in the net.

Thought Mings had a steady game with no errors.
