Forest docked 4 points

At this stage of the season with teams fighting for points no games will be easy.
Yeh but Luton still have to play a lot of good teams fighting for points, Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and West Ham all to play away. They have by far the toughest run in and are to be honest, pretty shite. They needed Forest to get a bigger penalty to stand any hope imo, either that or for Everton to get another hefty penalty. No way they survive from this point, as nice as it would be. Think they will finish on around 25 points and get relegated by a margin.

Usual corporate ********************************

Brentford didn’t have parachute payments but didn’t break psr rules - it’s just forest blew daft money

They sold Johnson as he wanted to leave didn’t he and fell out with fans ?

Surprised it doesn’t add that the punishment should be reduced by 2 points for each European cup won and 2 points if the stadium is world famous.

I wouldn't rule Burnley out of the equation just yet. They seem to be playing OK and, just to make things interesting, are home to the mighty Forest on the last day of the season. Unlikely but you never know.

Are people starting to figure out that the league we are in is a cartel which epitomises anti competition?

The whole system has absolutely nothing to do with sustainability, it is just in place to maintain the status quo. The elite sides are terrified that other clubs will take a slice of their pie so the PL designed a system to ensure that they can’t. It’s not really competitive sport any more, it’s business, and the bigger businesses use their power and influence to protect their financial and commercial interests just like in any other industry.

The debate shouldn’t be around who broke the rules and by how much, it should be around the utter absurdity that they exist in the first place. Newcastle are owned by the richest people on the planet and they couldn’t invest a penny in their depleted squad in the winter due to these rules. At this point the best thing for all would be for the ‘elite clubs’ to branch off and form their own European Super league, the PL basically has a Super league at the top end of the table anyway because it is impossible for anyone outside of the traditional top six to compete at the top end on a consistent basis.

It’s not a league it’s a cartel, I’m not sure why anyone really enjoys being a part of this sham anti competition.

TBH it pays not to think too deeply about it, this is a grubby league and we all have our noses in the trough

Interesting league table of finances.
So am I being thick here or can someone explain the table to me. Looking at it, and taking into account he maximum 105m permitted loss over 3 years, all teams below us in the table are in excess of this figure,
Do the figures relate to total loss over the 3 years or do they simply relate to transfer spending. Man U for example show a loss of 302m so how do they not fail FPP or whatever it's called now? Is there something else taken into account that means they pass?

Our spending since Foley took over means selling Solanke this Summer is inevitable.

I think that's how he plans on doing things. Hopefully Traore gets signed or comes back and performs. Other than him and the dodgy fee for Dango I think most recent signings are worth more than we paid.

It's going to be a lot different to last time in the PL when we basically only sold one player we didn't want to leave.

It has to be due to our spending, the rules don’t allow you to spend to the level we have without bringing money in. Ideal would be to sell Solanke for 70 odd million and get a very good replacement in for 30 million. Problem is that these ridiculous rules make it harder to sell too as the bigger clubs are also restricted, hopefully West Ham, Spurs or Newcastle are interested and have 70 million they can spend within the limits.
