Joachim Maehle

Can play both RB and LB and seems like a good price. Has European experience, and starts a lot for Denmark. Seems very promising! Especially for that price.

A little bit older too, so good for age balance.
 
Maehle was a regular for Atalanta last year starting the majority of their games and playing in 34 of 38 league games. He missed 2 games with suspension and was benched in 2 others.

In December of last year, just 8 months ago, he was a target for Juve, Atalanta wanted 15 mil for him. Newcastle was also keeping tabs on him according to a rumor from April.

A sale for just 11 or 12 million would be a surprise. It would represent a loss in market value for Maehle who moved to Atalanta for 13.9 mil. He's also under contract until 2025. Selling him for under market value while he's under contract long term seems odd unless they have some FFP issues.

I'd imagine he'll say something like 'Generally good. Some mardy fans, though'. He extended a couple of years ago after a good season and interest in him, so must have been something he liked about us. He might feel ready for a change now but doesn't mean he won't recommend us.
 
There are probably players at Weymif, Poole Tarn, Doughchister or 'Amworvy just as good. .. them is down the road basically and cheap !

Untrained people with no football managerial acumen keep picking these 'ere weird foreign names out the air... and the club signs ' ardly any of the f√ckers !
