I'm putting it down to nerves. But we saw it out and we showed bottle.
 
Just had to look it up, three points is three points, but we havent won a game by more than one goal since mid November v Everton. These are all very tense games both for players and watchers...
 
Very Cherry Riverside Rocket heading down the motorway, away quickly thanks to a police escort. It really has been a glorious day, the weather, the pre-match jerk chicken in a bun, meeting Horatio and Matt the Statt Stevenson and watching football in spring sunshine : )

Football wise, the best team won. More "ice in the veins" and it would have been a canter. Little bit nervy but as the second half wore on, we gained more control and Leicester didn't look like getting it back. Most important thing is bringing the 3 points back to Dean Court : )

Good stewards and our fans were on top form. Very loud and proud in the last 10+7 minutes. The Nonny song sounded the best it ever has : )

Mr Trent is beaming and looking forward to a celebratory Bounty bar at Cherwell : )

Yes, Boxing Day 1988.

During our 3 year spell in the old 2nd division, we played Leicester away on Boxing day.... all 3 sodding years. Fixtures Man must have bloody hated us.

We won in 87 too.

Unfortunately we are far from prolific because we run out of ideas in the final third. Hard to see us hammering anybody as we are at the moment but every game is winnable, which is a start.
I‘m hoping that we can make more out of our excellent build up play after a rethink in the summer. Still too many players looking for the pass in and around the opposition penalty area. We need players who are prepared to be a bit braver and a bit more direct. Either through additions or a change of mindset. Other than that we are looking pretty good at this moment in time !
