This would have been a tough game if played earlier in the season, but with their extensive injury list we shouldn’t have too many problems picking up the three points.
They have really struggled since their two defensive midfielders, Lokonga and Nkamba have been unavailable. This has been compounded by losing virtually all of their first choice defence and their talismanic forward Adebayo.
It’s a real shame for them because I truly believe that they had a very good chance of surviving against the odds before their injury crisis, now I’d be surprised if they even finished above Burnley.
I know it’s a popular cliche to say that this will be a ‘tough game’ but it really shouldn’t be. What they will be fielding will be a mid table standard championship minus Ross Barkley who is their one fit outfield player who belongs at this level. But even if he has the game of his life the likelihood is that he will be let down by the shambles of a defensive unit that plays behind him.
