I wonder if Iturbe could’ve been anything? Only saw him start against Portsmouth in the FA Cup and at Canford with the Under 21s so not sure he ever got a fair crack of the whip. I see he’s playing for Aris Thessaloniki in Greece now, managed by a certain Mr Pardew!

Any idea if it’s a loan deal or permanent being talked about?
Only played 3 times this season according to wiki. If he can take a set piece like Ian Harte then get him in. I wouldn't mind Ritchie as back up for JZ, he can take a good set piece and if we go down he would be good in the champ - it seems like we are unable to attract big names, so let's go for proven ones. Maybe blake and Hughes can give Eddie a ring and ask him for some advice.

I do find it odd that we can't convince JZ to sign a new contract, but we can get into (now apparently serious) talks with Vina from Roma with a good number of Uruguay and Serie A appearances to his name.
