Non (ish)... North London Forever

The only anthem that I really notice is at Anfield when they sing, "You'll Never Walk Alone" Even watching on TV when that's being pre-kick-off sung is spin-tingling. A connection between Gerry and the Pacemakers and Liverpool. Now if we could come-up with something similar pre our kick-off that would be good. Greg Lake was from Poole and perhaps we could adapt the "I believe in Father Christmas" lyrics to "I believe in AFC Bournemouth" etc, etc.

I do remember hearing some guys trying to start a song to that tune in our first PL season but it didn't really catch on and I never heard it again. Something like...

They said we'd be down by Christmas
They said we were tinpot shite
But we knew we had super Eddie
AFCB in the fight

Absolutely not! Cringey shite from some posh nepo baby tw@t pretending to be working class. Sums up that area I suppose.
I think you missed the point. My take was that whatever the merits of the song it was from a local lad writing about the love he has for his local team. Nothing 'cringy' about that for me.
