I dont think they are useless. The leader is boring for sure but a bit like the last US election... sometimes people yearn for a bit of boring when what you currently have is anything but...
I will never vote labour I will be voting reform in next electionSomething to correct Mr Sunak about over a glass of sherry
Mr Sunak said: “At the next election, I will need the support of everyone who wants lower taxes and secure borders because the alternative, Keir Starmer, believes in neither of those things. The Conservative family must come together to defeat Labour and ensure a brighter future for our country. A vote for anyone other than the Conservatives will just help Starmer.”
You can’t vote twice.I will never vote labour I will be voting reform in reform
And perfectly placed to split the Tory vote. They are a gift from heaven.
After 14 years, it’s probably time for a change. Whether that’s a good enough reason to win an election, I don’t think soThink a lot of it boils down to, ‘can Labour really do any worse?’.
I don’t think socialism works in Western Europe and this current Labour Party is probably centre right.A sweeping generalisation, but tend to think Labour politicians are in it for the greatest good for the greatest number, whereas the Cons are largely in it for themselves, and Reform are just angry and looking for someone to blame.
I think British people are naturally conservative.Always amazes me how the Cons manage to convince so many that they are on the side of the little people.
I don’t think they even pretend to be on the side of the people any more. They are clearly in it for themselves, for big business, for wealthy landowners and polluters. They rely on people reading The Sun and The Mail believing that Labour are the sperm of Satan.Think a lot of it boils down to, ‘can Labour really do any worse?’.

14 years of the Cons means that we have reached the bottom of that particularly barrel, so seems reasonable to try a different barrel, whilst the other one replenishes (hopefully).
Its more than that surely? The county is considerably worse off in almost every way than when the Conservatives took over in 2010? Surely after 14 years you would expect things to be better?
You’re preaching to the converted. I was trying not to antagonise those that will vote for anyone with a blue rosette. Can’t be bothered with more arguments and am already regretting commenting on a politics thread! Its more than that surely? People of the ilk who chose Liz Truss to lead the party and the country are unlikely to be the best judges of why to vote for a party at the general election !!After 14 years, it’s probably time for a change. Whether that’s a good enough reason to win an election, I don’t think so

Any party which chose Liz Truss as leader sets a low bar for fairing better surelyWe'll never know how Labour would have faired. Not much better imo... tbh.
Brevity, covid etc.
God knows how many unelected pm changes.
