Non - Pandemic

The· NHS After new studies suggest that coughing in Covid patients is at a much higher risk of viral infection than previously thought, they are urged to rethink the safety of thousands of front-line staff. I did.

The study found that coughing produced at least 10 times more infectious “aerosol” particles than speaking or breathing. This can explain why so many NHS staff became ill during the pandemic.

According to this study, those who have Covid-19 or who care for suspected Covid-19 need to be provided with the most protective equipment, including an FFP3 breathing mask, to improve hospital ventilation. A new demand was born.

health Workers are up to four times more likely to be infected with the coronavirus than the general population, and the infection rate in general wards is about twice that of intensive care unit (ICU) staff with the most protective PPE available.

He’s trying to find the vaccine minister.
Who?

Offering the offer of a date for the first dose by mid february is always going to allow the boris cheerleaders to proclaim a world beating resounding stupendous suceess. The road map due 22 febŕuary will show the benefits of this milestone.

Obviously good news that people are being vaccinated. The job to be done is to complete the course of vaccination for all those that need it.

Offering the offer of a date isnt resounding, completing the course of vaccination would be resounding.
The UK is currently in the bronze medal place in the vaccine olympics

People being given their first dose is good news.

Get a realistic view of the vaccination programme on the 22nd feb? We already have a realistic view. Nearly 20% of all adults have received their first doses How are our friends across in Europe getting on?

10m have taken up the offer Jim. You seem to take issue with the fact that these jabs are only being offered by the government. Would you prefer they force people to take them?

When they say they have been offered a date, they don't mean that they have a diary date for March or April. They mean that everyone in those groups who is willing to be vaccinated, has been vaccinated; the only ones who have not been vaccinated are those who can't or won't take the jab.

Bronze is good Jim. Better than being an also ran. How many in this race exactly?

Forgetting the politics the NHS and partners who have been giving these vaccinations have done a marvellous job.

My wife and myself are pleased we have had our first jab and are among that 10 million.

This has been one great success of this pandemic where mistakes we know have been made re lockdowns, opening too early, PPE etc.

So well done to all involved in the vaccine orders and getting it into our arms.

you all moan about jim (or nina) banging on, and then when he doesn't post for a while... you start asking him (or her) loads of questions and trying to wind him (or her) up!

you're all bonkers I tell you
You have to be bonkers to survive this.
Are you saying we are bonkers and Jimnina isn't -----------------------just a thought.

Read today that there are thought to be around 4,000 covid variants around the world. The UK, having a world leading genome setup (50% of world force), is storing all of these variants in case a vaccine tweak is needed at any time. Nice to hear that we're on top of something good.

The nearest trial will be Southampton.

A UK trial has been launched to see if giving people different Covid vaccines for their first and second doses works as well as the current approach of using the same type of vaccine twice.

The idea is to provide more flexibility with vaccine rollout and help deal with any potential disruption to supplies.

Scientists say mixing jabs could also possibly give even better protection.

The vaccines minister said no changes would be made to the UK's current approach until at least the summer.

People being delighted that the UK is currently and clearly leading the world in administering the vaccine doesn't make them Boris cheerleaders, you complete fool.

Unlike you, normal people can simply see this for the success that it is so far.

Unlike you, normal people can simply see the EUs abject failure on administering vaccinations for what it is.

Grow up.
