Pre Match Music

Why the hell do we play some god awful song as soon as the final whistle goes as the fans are trying to show their appreciation for the teams efforts? Who on earth thinks this is a good idea?
A couple of years back I complained by email about this to Liz Finney, saying that the supporters should be able to applaud the team off without a load of loud crap "music" drowning us out. The next match and for quite a few after that the music didn't start until after the team had made its way to the tunnel - whether that was down to my email I don't know but it had stopped. I would say to all fans send an email to her (it only takes a couple of minutes) and get it stopped again, same with loud pre match stuff. COMPLAIN don't put up with it. Someone has posted her email address in this thread, I am sending her another email today, at least it will make me feel better!

Isnt this a job for.....the fans matchday experience committee or whatever its called?
Why can't the ordinary fan just complain by a 2 minute email instead of waiting for a supporters committee to discuss and then ask the club if it can be talked about. By all means get them to raise it but as individuals we should just do it anyway, it will be a hell of a lot quicker.

I agree.. it's turned up so loud it's starting to distort, especially when that Kanye West (c)rap rubbish comes on.
They need to back the sound off by 3dB or so.

Write in and complain.

Hi Liz,
Can someone please wind down the music in the ground (certainly in the North Stand).
Pre match it was deafening and hard to hold a conversation with the person next you. People were having to shout to be heard, it is not pleasant or necessary.
Secondly can we delay playing any music after the final whistle until after the team have completed their lap around the ground and are going into the tunnel. After a good performance it is great for supporters to show their appreciation by singing and clapping, music does not help that and is so unnecessary.
We had the same post match situation a few years ago and it was changed to give us fans the chance to show our appreciation, but for some reason it has been reintroduced. It is annoying and unnecessary.
thanks

Go on it only takes a minute.

I wondered if I was just slowly becoming a grumpy git since we were last attending 18 months ago, but it does seem to have gotten louder. It really is a struggle to hold a basic conversation with the people either side of you, it's ridiculous!

Yes I do like that in the minutes before kickoff to be fair. Maybe we could build up to that a little more gradually?

i think that’s the happy middle ground. No need to blare it out during the warm ups because that’s socialising time but for the few minutes between team walk out and kick off it should be pure lung busting pandemonium.
