I saw this today and couldn’t believe we were named in the list, I really hope it’s a mistake

Context and detail might be key. How do you know it wasn’t voted against because it simply wasn’t good enough.

The suggestion it’s because clubs “didn’t want to give the money” is conjecture.

There was some chat about this on here yesterday, but not much because there’s not a lot of information to hand.

Throwing in some speculation - I was reading that the Football League would ideally like a deal that does away with parachute payments and gives each Championship club an increased flat solidarity fee per season. I can see that a majority of the Championship would like that. I can see why a chunk of the PL might not like that.

But whether that was actually on the table, or what was, who knows.

It baffles me that some here are eager to smear AFCB using guilt by association regarding a proposal that is entirely unknown.

Please look at the Project Big Picture thread where this has been put to bed. AFCB didn’t vote against the proposals because they weren’t put to the vote.
