Bizarre that a year or two ago, most of our goals seemed to come from set pieces. Great that we've sorted out the problem of scoring from open play though!

If he keeps scoring braces, he'll get more than 20!
 
If Dom and Dan score 30+ between them and have 15+ assists between them in a season, that's around a goal a game. Then we have Brooks and Stan, stay fit and it's another 15 goals and assists. We've already got goals and assists from the other midfielders and 2 defenders. Get the old Goalbot philosophy back, no matter what the situation, we CAN and WILL outscore you. : )

Ps haven't had time to read much of today's threads but we would have loved being there today. Being able to inform the broken Biscuits they were 2-0 up and they f/mucked it up, would have made up for the misery of the Hillsborough trip ( we would have inevitably made ). : )

Can't afford to watch any of the games at the moment but by the sounds of things we've remebered that you need to be in the lead at 90 minutes not 19. I'd thought that from some of the earlier matches and if that's a game plan then about bloody time.

If there was ever anything inevitable about Eddie's sides it'd be that we'd have a good first 20 minutes. If we scored we'd have a crap 2nd half, try and hold on and then get nervous, tired, concede and not make any subs.

If we didn't score in that first 20 then we'd just go on to lose pitifully.

I still think we should be absolutely walking this league on paper, as arrogant as that sounds, but it's nice to see a fresh approach that appears to be paying off. If we can maybe tighten up the first half a bit we'll be onto a proper winner!

Hopefully the fans will be back for the return fixture.....so you can inform them that we'll never play them again!

It’s funny. You’d think that since he is above Championship level ( in his own mind ), in the two games he had, he would have shown his quality. Instead he did naff all and today when he was busy playing for ManU on the Playstation we gave a 45 minute display of PL offensive quality without his assistance.
If somebody is daft enough to offer decent money for him in January we should take it, or else he goes for free in the Summer. We definitely do not need him, so I hope we get something for him in January.
 
...we have been slow starters in most games this season so far...maybe JT should do the HT bollocking before the game!....seriously not sure how we transformed although switching Kelly to LB worked a treat......a fully fit Brooks will be key for us as we push on...but we’ll done boys today!
