Has anyone heard about Christie’s injury? Trying to find out if he’s likely to be back tomorrow but can’t see any news!

If you are a defender Christie will hurt you more than the guy in midfield so doubling up on Christie makes sense . Now we have cantwell into that number 8 position and teams will now know we have 2 players to cause them problems

When Dembele was at Peterborough teams were doubling up on him so we now have 3 players that need close attention.

The latest news was on Monday that he was going to see a specialist.

Before that according to our manager the signs were good from scans.

Probably might not know until teams are announced.
 
I think Parker will leave Christie out anyway as he probably needs a rest. Dembele and Anthony either side of Dom again?. Its a shame we cant get Anthony back linking with Zemura though.

Also meant to be two-footed but prefers to shoot with his right. It's possible SP will switch Dembele and Anthony back and forth. Also possible that we might see Billing on the right/Cantwell on the left at times. Scotty Parker loves to invert.
 
I'm hoping Dembele will be such a handful that Jed Spence will be stuck in defence all evening.
 
Must confess that I am very impressed with the majority of our recent signings. Will never understand why Celtic let Christie go for so low money. I wondered if a falling out had occurred but he doesn't look as if he's the type. Cantwell looking like a potential diamond with his performances so far, could we sign him if we go up (£15m + though)?

I think signing him permanently could be very realistic if he continues to play well and we get promoted. Not sure what he'd cost though.

I think the reality is that anyone can be the type to try to force a move through refusing to extend or just consciously/subconsciously winding down a bit. Of course clubs can try to force moves and contract extensions too so isn't all on the players. Depends on each situation.

I believe Christie's contract was near completion, so they had to sell him more cheaply than they otherwise would have.
