Stoke City v AFC Bournemouth

Considering his arm was tucked in by his body and the ball appeared to hit his thigh it would have been an incredibly bad decision to give a pen.
A much clearer pen should have gone Bournemouth's way in the first half. A Stoke defender came right through the back of Billing and didn't get the ball.
That does not mean that VAR wouldn’t have given it tbf!

Looks like Powell could be missing for 6 -8 weeks with a broken bone. Why would you go near Jefferson Lerma on a football pitch?

Carbon copy of the Wilson situation. Player goes down, beckons the medics on. Player is treated for a decent period on the pitch and goes off. Player comes back on and within a couple of minutes is flat on the floor again and needing replacement.

The differences?
1. Powell will be back in 6-8 weeks, Wilson was back in 6-8 months
2. The Stoke fans almost to a man booed Wilson off the field. The Bournemouth fans did not do that to Powell

Hope the lad is better soon. Also hope that the Stoke fans might learn something from this. I suspect that only one of these wishes will be fulfilled. Apparently every time a B’mth player hits the ground it’s gamesmanship and cheating. Got to hand it to Wilson for keeping up the charade for 7 months…

Was just looking back to last season to see who was top after 13 games and how many points they had.

It was Norwich City with 27 points.

This was after they won away at Stoke City.
