Quite interested to see how we line up for the Everton game, given our current lack of form at the back, with certain key players out of sorts and out injured- but also some others potentially coming back from injury.

Rico seems to have some kind of voodoo magic on his side keeping his Bournemouth career alive; with no sign of EH doing (IMO) the right thing and giving him a go, all the players that would be in the side ahead off him (Daniels, Smith and now Mepham) are dropping like flies. As a fan of both Rico and Simpson (who I know many on here don't rate), I almost have a morbid curiosity in which boo boy EH will go for. Will he go to a back 4 and put Rico in, or will he stick with the horrendous back 5 and go for Simpson? Either way its a win win for the players I like!

It's quite hard to predict given the lack of concrete injury news; I'd prefer to see a back 4 (hopefully with Smith fit), L. Cook back on the bench and a few more bodies in midfield if possible, maybe a front 3 of Fraser and Wilsons so there's a bit more of a link between our strikers and creative players. Unfortunately we're not really in a position to drop Fraser, but I think King could do with a "rest"; although you then lose his pace. Maybe H. Wilson could have a free role in the centre, to fill the Brooks shaped hole in our team?

Basically our problems can be summarised by saying, with all our injuries, we need our best players to be just that, because if it all goes wrong in the second half like against Leicester, we don't have the options to change things.

Is it too soon for Lewis Cook on the bench?

Ramsdale
Smith cook Ake Rico
Fraser Lerma Billing Wilson
King Wilson

Can’t see it being any different

Anxious about this game. Everton are in-and-out but have match winners, notably Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Iwobi. Richarlison can cause havoc on the wings and we're wobbly at FB.

Nothing yet on Smith, so perhaps he's fit. If so, I'd play him on the left and bring in Stacey at RB. In midfield we need to get Billing further forward with a brief to link with the forwards. So far he's been too far back - let Lerma do that job.

Like others I'm waiting for a performance from Fraser. Sunday would be the occasion - we need some inspiration.

Our games at home against them tend to see a fair few goals and I can't see any change this time around. Everton have some good attacking options and our defence is , well , leaky at best at the moment. I'd chuck Boruc in for this one. Interesting to see how EH sets up to play against them with our current defensive options. Heart says cherries but head says away win, unfortunately
