That **** on talksport

The advantage rule has been mentioned a couple of times. Doesn't some of the cause of diving come as a result of how the advantage rule is played. If Lerma had confidence, or in other situations knew advantage was being played like Rugby, then perhaps he doesn't feel the need to go down.

The push did make Lerma's job of controlling the ball more difficult, even if only very slightly as a result of illegal contact. So for me that's a foul, but the way the advantage rule can't be trusted contributes to his exaggerated response. You could say he is deceiving the ref only if that exaggeration was seeking to make out insufficient contact not worthy of a foul is so. Given it was a deliberate shove with two hands, attacker deserves benefit of doubt.

Yes and I'm saying that by your logic Jeff should be booked. What else is he doing other than trying to deceive the ref?
You think he deceived the ref into giving a foul after he was fouled?.........the only way deception would be relevent would be if no foul had taken place.

Durham is quite good on the Saturday afternoon around the grounds show but he is wind up merchant which seems to be the main theme on Talk sport.

Wind up a load of fans and get them to ring in paying Talk sport for the privilege!.

Trying to deceive the ref is the offence. It doesn't matter if there's a foul or not. He's thrown himself to the floor to try and influence the ref's decision.

If you watch it he looked to see the player wad there, deliberately got himself between player and ball then threw himself to the floor when he felt contact.

He hasn't deceived the ref.....it was a foul.....again you're focusing on what happens after the offence........you say he deliberately got himself between man and ball like its a bad thing!......the defender did not have to push Jeff.....he chose too.
