Hello all
Some posters thoughts seem to be turning to who the relegation candidates may be in the Premier League this season and so, with just under four weeks until the start of the new season, it seems like a good time to bring back this competition for a 7th season. Who will follow the previous winners “boscombebotn”, “yesyescherry”, “Winsor Cherry”, “DJ”, “jalalagood” & defending champion “musiccitycherry”.
The rules remain the same as in previous seasons: You predict a team to come top and bottom of each division.
For example:
If you have chosen AFCB for instance to finish top of the Premier League and they sit top of the table, you score no penalty points.
If you choose Southampton to finish bottom and they sit in 17th in the table, then you are 3 points out and hence fined those 3 points.
This is done for all the four main divisions and the National. So 10 selections to be made, 5 top teams and 5 bottom teams. The entry accumulating the lowest total of penalty points at the end of the season will win the competition. No prizes for this one, just bragging rights.
"musiccitycherry"’s winning total last season was 23 with the previous winning scores being 25, 33, 28, 15 & 13. The 18/19 winning selections were as follows: Chelsea - 2, Brighton - 3, West Brom - 3, Reading - 4, Portsmouth - 3, Walsall - 2, Lincoln - 0, Macclesfield - 2, Salford - 2, Braintree - 2, Total points - 23.
Last season’s full results can be seen here:

Entries can be amended up to the closing date should any late signings change opinions of any early posters.
I will post again below with a full list of teams in each division to hopefully avoid some people getting teams in the wrong divisions as has happened previously.
Closing date for entries (or any amended entries): 3:00 pm Saturday 10th August – and yes I am aware that this is a week after the Football League starts but for most of us AFCB fans, that is when the season will really start. I will post standings updates during the season.
This thread will be regularly bumped (if necessary) until the closing date for entries.
Good luck all.
