Where We Are: An Alternative View

A Win at the Pebbles next Saturday and another at the Mudflats ...Christ.....why not?

A swift Pasting by dear old Fulham 0-5 inbetween would be forgiven im sure ! Imagine then a first Win v Spurs and a 5-5 draw at Palace....it would just about sum up a Very Alternative season !

We lack leaders…….yes, we do. Our medical room however is full of them. Club captain Simon Francis, vice-captain Andrew Surman, stand in captain Steve Cook, stand in for the stand in Charlie Daniels, and Lewis Cook, the only man other than Booby Moore to captain his country to a World Cup win. So while all clubs have their fair share of injuries, we’ve lost a lot of leaders. Of course others need to step up, but not everyone is a natural born leader. Nathan Ake is probably the best defender we’ve ever seen play for us, but a natural born leader he doesn’t yet appear to be

This could be the biggest problem for where we are now. Also, out of the five players mentioned here, four of them have been here for 7+ (?) years, they are what Eddie sees as 'AFC Bournemouth'. Being a leader is not just about what we see on pitch, it's on the training pitch and around the club in general. Are these players around the rest of the team much whilst nursing these injuries. Are they finding it difficult to be motivate and be motivated whilst they're out for such long periods?
