New Kings Park Stadium

Where’s the local / national press when you need them?Could be embarrassing if the media decided to enter the arena, but hey ho not much chance of the mighty Perrett emerging from the depths of the Echo.
Wasn't the Echo banned from the club before for asking awkward questions?

Yes they were but not in the time of Max (running the club) and Eddie Howe.

March 2012.

Dave I have remembered to put the link! ;)

The Echo was yesterday informed, just four hours before kick-off against Brentford, that our reporters and photographers were no longer welcome at Seward Stadium.

The communication from Cherries media executive Max Fitzgerald brought to a head weeks of needless and childish screw-tightening by the football club that had initially started with Echo reporters being banned from asking questions in Lee Bradbury’s post-match press conferences.

Then, ahead of Saturday’s match against Carlisle, we were told we would not be permitted to stand in on any of Bradbury’s interviews and had to remain in the press box.

Yesterday, more than 100 years of Echo coverage of AFC Bournemouth was brought to a halt by a board, management team and press office hell bent on forcing this newspaper away from our local football club.

I remember not so long ago when a certain member of staff
People such as Liz worked here at a time when they didn't know if they'd be paid or even have a job from one week to the other. They stayed loyal to afcb and if they weren't doing their job they'd be off. It might be human nature to you to take the lazy way but it doesnt mean everybody else does.

You bigged yourself up about offering to help get the stadium built and then it turned out the biggest skill-set you were offering was 'loads of common sense'.

This.
Or perhaps Max rings Liz up and says "what do you think about this new stadium idea" when she replies "not keen on it" he says O.K. I will drop it then. Ridiculous

Well they’be done it again, but this time by completely ignoring the fans and they will get away with it because we count for nothing in their eyes.Very very sad days.

To be honest, if we're going to get some random business person with no actual tangible or genuine apparent skills to get the stadium built, instead of Resevoir_Red I'd rather we select someone who knows about the business of business.

Incidentally, from what I can tell from the wespa website, he seems to be running a glorified gym.

REG: They've bled us white, the bastards. They've taken everything we had, and not just from us, from our fathers, and from our fathers' fathers.

LORETTA: And from our fathers' fathers' fathers.

REG: Yeah.

LORETTA: And from our fathers' fathers' fathers' fathers.

REG: Yeah. All right, Stan. Don't labour the point. And what have they ever given us in return?!

XERXES: Max?

REG: What?

XERXES: Max. Max Demin.

REG: Oh. Yeah, yeah. They did give us that. Uh, that's true. Yeah.

COMMANDO #3: And the Premiership.

LORETTA: Oh, yeah, the Premiership, Reg. Remember what the city used to be like?

REG: Yeah. All right. I'll grant you Max and the Premiership are two things that they have done.

MATTHIAS: And the young players tied down on good contracts.

REG: Well, yeah. Obviously the young players tied down on good contracts. I mean, the young players tied down on good contracts go without saying, don't they? But apart from Max, the Premiership, and the young players tied down on good contracts--

COMMANDO: Profit.

XERXES: Regular televised game for exiles.

COMMANDOS: Huh? Heh? Huh...

COMMANDO #2: Nathan Ake.

COMMANDOS: Ohh...

REG: Yeah, yeah. All right. Fair enough.

COMMANDO #1: And the wine.

COMMANDOS: Oh, yes. Yeah...

FRANCIS: Yeah. Yeah, that's something we'd really miss, Reg, if they left. Huh.

COMMANDO: Pretty good club shop too.

LORETTA: And it's safe to assume the Management Duo will be here past Christmas now, Reg.

FRANCIS: Yeah, they certainly know how to keep order. Let's face it. They're the only ones who could in a place like this.

COMMANDOS: Hehh, heh. Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh.

REG: All right, but apart from Max, the Premiership, regular televised games for exiles, wine, secure management duo, profit, Nathan Ake, a good club shop, and young players tied down on good contracts, what have Blake and Finney ever done for us?
Hmmmmm,

An excellent statement. Well done.
You have probably had your last ever meeting with AFCB as they don't like being questioned.

Training ground: I am sure red harry said the builders could go in days after planning permission. I wonder why not?
What can possibly be the reason.

The stadium I believe to be pie in the sky stuff to appease supporters.

As many have send, the next generation are missing out.....but somebody within is getting richer.

I seriously hope this statement improves communication......but I very much doubt it.

With that kind of access to internal/confidential conversations your ‘source’ is definitely better than fictionAL’s... ;)

Being in a job a long time and remaining loyal during tough times doesn’t mean you are the right person for the job now.

Based on what I’ve seen with the Exiles Club treatment and Liz’s view that tickets are available for most games nearer the time and ‘more tickets for locals’ forms my opinion I’m afraid.

It that’s the mindset of the person and matches others behind the scenes we are staying tinpot forever and I can’t see a ground ever being built in my lifetime.

As I said in the post you quoted, if they weren't up to the job then they would be fired. The context of the discussion was involvement in the new stadium.

I disagree with the decision re the Exiles too, but that doesn't necessarily make them unfit to do their job. And also whatever I think is not really important!

Since Max took the helm, our club has moved forward very quickly and probably arrived in the Premier League quicker than expected.

Do you really think Max wants to stay in our present stadium with an 11,000 + gate?

Max knows his manager has ambitions for this club and would not want to lose him.

So with Max and Eddie still at the helms of their own positions at our club, I believe we can still progress further in a very money orientated Premier League.

The Everton home game has gone down to 1+ home point, that’s unheard of. Whilst some will be on holiday as it’s still August it’s strange that this game will/have almost goto general sale.

Glorified gym? TBH with Savi, it's more likely to be a glory holed gym.

We should never have let that bloke go.

He should still be locked in a dark room in the bowels of the stadium, being fed leftover matchday pies.

Yep and Cardiff did too. Any 0 pointers who took advantage of the Napoli friendly home point last season could have amassed about 6 home points after today (as there were 1 point resales towards the end of last season for 2 or 3 home games as I recall).

But that doesn’t change anything about how important a new ground (or at least expanded ground) is for young/future fans.
