Watford v AFC Bournemouth Preview

Just got back (to Cambridge).

We murdered them. Clinical on the break in the first half, insouciant control of the second. Big Jeff the pick of the bunch.

I had money on an away win with both sides scoring, but prefer the clean sheet to the cash a consolation goal would have brought.

Happy days.

Better than that watford fan Chris Stark who was tipping alongside Lawro this week....4-0 .. 'We can get a lot of points this season, and the dream would be to finish in a Champions League place. It is achievable, I genuinely think it is'. ..........you got to laugh...they never learn...every season'...

To be fair he got the 4-0 sore right!

BBC website are saying Ake won every ariel and ground dual he had and made eight clearances,I thought he was very good today but that's brilliant. What must he be worth then

That was one of our worst performances this season, but we won 4-0 and looked comfortable. They might struggle on that showing.
I don’t believe it was our worst performance, we adjusted to their game plan. They tried to stop us playing out from the back so that when we hit it long they came back at us and then we caught them in the break. The sending off stopped that plan for them. Well done to Eddie and Lads.

Just got back, what a result. All played well but Ake and Steve Cook and Brooks and King were very good, but Lerma well the man is a beast and he can pass and was everywhere, what a display from him.I thought us fans were great aswell, nice to see Rob Trent in the services too
Good to meet you to. Home by 7.50 and enjoying reading this thread now.

We played well, did the job and got the points. Lerma has given the team a step up imho.

Good to see so many familiar faces today, including Neil and your boy, and so many others. Great to be at our biggest ever Premier League away win (so far). Didn't see an away win last season, and if I only see two this season (West Ham and Watford) I'll be happy!

Can't find 'Clive off the Kremlin' on their forum tonight--seems he's buzzed off like a good little Tinpot Hornet with his Sting between his Wings!
Unhappy Bunny is at it though.."our disgraceful behaviour and Timewasting! with goal celebrations " is floating his boats!

One voice of reason over there:

"Outclassed all over the pitch.

Absolutely foolish red card - you'd think he'd learn from his foul on Lacazette at Arsenal and stupid red card at Spurs.

Ake was brilliant kept us quiet.

Callum Wilson, Josh King & Ryan Fraser all better than our attacking players today.

I hate Ben Foster's distribution. Puts us straight under pressure.

Gracia an idiot for not changing it earlier.

Old habits creeping in, arms being thrown about, arguing going on."

Many thanks for the link, really enjoyed watching, the build up for Callum’s goal was outstanding, 20 passes? Lerma seemed to be everywhere. That tackle when he was on the floor was exceptional, what a player. Shout out to the travelling support, could hear you loud and clear! What a boost that must give the team. MOTD is going to be a very happy watch tonight.

My thoughts:

- Lerma is class, he’s the player we’ve needed since we got promoted and could genuinely be the difference between a 6th-10th and a 10th-17th finish. We’ll win points when not playing well with him in the team.

- 4-0 is not a fair reflection, but we were clinical and had a perfect game plan for Watford’s setup. Width and pace.

- They’re a funny lot. Genuinely believe us to be cheats but then have Hughes tripping over air and always appear to have a few “player rather than ball” challenges in them. Brooks was the unfortunate recipient today.

- We’ve got an excellent chance to improve on our best ever finish. We’ve still not seen much of Stanislas/Rico and Lerma will only get better. Onwards and upwards!

Apparently some afcb fans were kicked out at half time in the concourse, my mate went to toilet at half time and saw it,don't know why
