Season tickets

Just renewed my three season tickets and was told about 90 % have so far taken back up there season tickets.

So with a day and half still to go and the enivitable last minute rush would appear close to 100 % by close of play wednsday (I think).

Was told they are looking for a capacity of about 4,000 fans for the game on 12th September assuming first fixture is a home one.
Fans allowed in for first game ????.....thought it was mid October at the earliest

Only quoting what John the ticket man said. He said if trials go well at an outdoor cricket event coming up the Gov are set to allow it and we would be balloted for the 4,000 golden seats.

...well just done mine, as I almost forgot the cut off date!

I would hope that if a balloted system was in place that all fans would get a go in a fair rotation?

It is going to one helluva season ahead in so many challenging ways!

Currently number 3 in the queue to talk to someone as somehow my order went through with the use credit checkbox unchecked! I didn't uncheck it, well not intentionally anyway! So now they are trying to process my order at full price and there is no way to cancel it and put it through again, seemingly. My real gripe is why is it even an option we have to check? It should be automatically credited to us it's our bloody money after-all!

It should be automatically be deducted from your second payment, due to be taken on 1st September. There is an update to the FAQs which explains this.

Can someone please explain to me what the process is then for ST holders and this ballot.

The information online seems to read that I have to pay again for my ballot entry, and be refunded if unsuccessful??? Surely that is not right...????

My understanding was everyone gets a default refund on their season ticket seat for each game.

Those successful in the ballot then pay for the pro rata price of the ticket they get allocated, which could be anywhere in the ground.

Shielding issues - you can't defer unless you have a government letter or a letter from your GP. Problem: many GP practices won't issue these letters as they're under enormous pressure with regular work. Some practices who will produce letters charge for them, as they do for insurance statements etc - and it's not cheap.

So - I'm 70+ with asthma and fall into a high-risk category. My GP won't write letters at this point. Outcome - I'm obliged to pay for this season's ST or probably lose the seat for the long term. Money is refunded if a seat's not taken up but only game by game ... the club gets the money upfront.

Ticket Office says it's "following orders" from the Championship. Hmm...

Anyone know if we can chose which games we enter the ballot for? Say, if we've got a holiday booked? Ordinarily I'd just give the ticket to someone but it doesn't feel right to do that if there's reduced capacity.

Whilst I understand that, it really does seem an **************** about face way of doing things... I assumed originally that you would get entered automatically every week, and just get refunds for every game you are unsuccessful for or don't attend...

The very fact we're having this conversation highlights it could have been more simple...

Don't worry if you've got a bit of credit with the ticket office, that'll soon get used up as you buy tickets for our extensive cup runs in the Carebo and FA Cup

Season ticket holders will be allocated any available seat at pro rata price for that area.St holders cannot book their own seat.

All supporters will be successful at least once before anyone is successful twice.
Once guidance on reduced attendance is released, the club will announce further info.

Yes that’s how I’ve read it , which clearly isn’t right !

Can’t do that this time round - only the person named on the season ticket can use it if successful- any attempt to get round this will be met “ with the strictest possible sanctions “
I’ve had this confirmed on two emails - it’s due to COVID regulations...

The usual practice of being able to share a ST does not apply under current restrictions.
My brother is gutted as we share one .

That is a difficult one, what will they take as evidence?
Does it need to be a specific letter from GP sating the fact, or would most people with any of the conditions which places them into deferral category just be able to provide some written correspondence on the subject? Im no expert (as thankfully I am not in such a situation), but I would assume there is evidence somewhere of being diagnosed, so if not a letter, a medical record which everyone has the right to request from their practice?

You don't come across as someone who holidays. You seem to be permanently on here having a spat with a fellow poster. That's any poster, not anyone in particular.
