Middlesbrough v AFC Bournemouth

Bang goes any confidence Travers had remaining.

Wasn't begovic rumoured to be injured last week, or not fully fit?

Travers may have known he was likely to be backup anyway.

I think Begovic is the better choice at this stage.

JT starting with the team that beat Blackburn and scored 3 goals.

Only change Brooks for the injured Stanislas and the goalkeepers.

So makes sense to start a winning team over 90+ minutes and keeping consistency.

Obviously he dropped players who he fell out with!

The point I was trying to make was that he never seemed to drop a player who had made a glaring error in the game before!

Howe was absolutely brutal with his goalkeepers. He gave them a fair shot, you don’t drop people in any position for one mistake but if you get in a rut you’re dropped and that’s what he did with all of his goalkeepers over both spells as manager.

Like Danjuma who after his hospital backpass that ended up with Ake injured never played again in the remaining games last season despite H Wilson playing like a competition winner?

As far as I can see Travers made two errors last week! The second goal he conceeded seemed very soft to me!

A good call to drop him today IMHO. It also sends out message to the rest of the team!

Kris and Willo had to go in separate cars owing to BBC rules.

Long journey on your own, met up at the Newcastle hotel where they stayed.

What a bunch of losers those Boro fans are. All sitting apart as if they fear interacting with another human or something.

Not much of a crowd either.
