Lewis Cook

Awful for anyone this and fingers crossed he is back fit and well within the year. He has been excellent this year.

It will be interesting to see if Woodgate goes for Jack in his natural number ten slot or as I suspect prefers the physicality of PhilBill.

Why exactly did he carry on playing given his history of knee problems? That’s exactly what happened last time, he tried to play on for a bit and then it turned out his ligaments were f***ed. Surely our physios need to be taking more of an active role in identifying when something serious might have occurred, or at least err on the side of caution?

Shame for him because he’s been mostly excellent this season.

Good luck to Lewis with his recovery. It’s amazing what they can do medically, here’s hoping for a better version on his return.

At leasg we know he'll be here next season .....

Abs gutted for him as he's by and large had a really good season for us this year... Obviously won't be in his thinking at all, but the small positive from our point of view is that it would certainly point to him being a Bournemouth player next year regardless of league...

Lewis was one player I feared we'd lose if we failed to go up... But like I said... small consolation, and only to us... Hope he comes back stronger and raring to go again...

I really would love to see Jack step up now and show us the player we all know he can be...

Tough one. I wonder if Callum will reach out to him to encourage him that the road back is long but possible.

We do have form regarding our "best players" don't we. Dom for a spell, Brooksie often and now L. Cook. Stan is always on a tightrope, Danjuma for a while, Sam with this toe thing. Luckily, we do have decent depth at some positions.

I just think it is part and parcel of the modern game... Look at the injury lists of the likes of Liverpool and Leicester, for example... Couple that with a ridiculously rigorous schedule this season, and it is not surprising some players are fatiguing, leading to injuries that might in a 'normal' season not have occurred.

I've not seen Lewis' injury causing challenge, but even in normal circumstances the muscles might have protected his knee more-so... The lads have played a lot of football this season, with quick turnarounds...

Bad news for Lewis and us...but hopefully he will bounce back like Callum did and be a huge asset to our squad next season.

Best wishes to him..

One of the few standouts this season under Tindall. Leader on the field. Will be missed and hope he has a speedy recovery

Didn't he get subbed straight away this time? I don't think he came back on?

Gutted for the lad, having his most consistent season for us and starting to realise some of his potential. : ( Here's to a full and speedy recovery.

What's the betting the FA will announce Jefferson Lerma's fate tomorrow with a 6 match suspension starting immediately

Terrible for Lewis, hope he gets the best possible treatment. On Billing, am I the only one who doesn’t see him as a physical player at all? I think his size tricks people into thinking he’s physical and good in the air. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him outmuscle someone or win a header. Hope Wilshere gets a good run in the team ahead of him.
