Thoughts on the match v Peterborough

What can you say about that? The team with the worst defensive record in the league and, despite dominating the match, the only save their keeper had to make boshed off his face. That was the game right there. If we don't test the keeper, we can't expect to score.

It wasn't like they looked watertight. There were deficiencies in their defensive set up but too often the wrong choice was made or we lacked quality or vision.

I'm disappointed as I was hoping having the extra attacking midfielder on the pitch would be effective and so give SP pause for thought before reaching for the Lerma/Pearson axis too often.

Still unbeaten. Still in the promotion places. But that includes three draws against the three promoted teams. There's a lot to like about the work SP has done, but some questions are starting to creep in a little.

Well played: Cahill I guess. They never really looked threatening.

Room for improvement: Christie and Rogers (although he gets a pass as it was his first start). Plus, the whole team pretty much whenever we got into the last third.

The slide starts here.

I'm not taking anything away from an outstanding start to the season but that game reminded a bit of some of the Howe matches when he was getting dogs abuse on here for us being so predictable and not creating anything.

It was a good performance in terms of controlling the match. It was a rubbish performance in terms of creativity.

Peterborough have an ok record at home so come the end of the season that may look a decent point. Right now it feels a disappointing point as we had the opening to test them and try to force three points but, in the end, I don't think we did.

You can't win them all though. Three points on Saturday against a team that will likely be up there come the season end and we'll go into the next international break in great shape.

Never ...ever ever ever....change a winning team !..At the very most. just 1 change if forced ...I keep saying it...Continuity Continuity ..Continuity..
OK ..don't buy that.. suits me...suits me ...suits me !

One thing I am surprised at is that under Parker I thought we'd have a clear almost methodical pattern of play....I just don't see it...we look extremely disjointed which is why we create nothing.

Rogers looked out of sync, same as Lowe. Always difficult coming in when you've only made the odd appearance as sub.

Lemma outstanding, seemed to be everywhere breaking up their possession.

Looked like there was a division between the 2 teams. Totally controlled it, shame couldn't press it home, but draw away is always OK, as long as winning at home.

Well that's a bit of a p*sser. Now that we're massive these little clubs should just roll over and have their tummy's tickled when we roll into town. I mean, it's not like this is a tough league this Championship.
