Structadene

Blake rang me to ask was i serious about giving up all the covenants. He said if i was then Max would buy the club and invest to get us in the Prem.
I said ill take 2 tickets for the next game and even pay for all my own costs.
This I did. Unfortunately after missing only six games in 35 years at this point it suited Blake to stop me ever getting a ticket since. As a lot of generous fans on this forum know I resort to begging to get to the games.
Uncle Jeff stories very similar. They dare not ever right a book about their stories at the mighty Cherries!
I’m very aware of the way in which John Piper was mistreated/misled to his detriment so nothing would surprise me.

That's a serious accusation:hmmm:, can you elaborate please ? If you were on the database with the required points (4) at the end of the promotion season in 2014/15 you would have been able to obtain a ticket for the Villa game at home in the PL and worked your way up from there. But it took effort and you had to buy for every game following . The alternative was a season ticket (or half ST from the promotion season)

Can you confirm you had the required points history for that Villa game or were you like the thousands of others who didn't. Remember past history or loyalty counted for absolutely nothing unless you had a ST or had attended 4 games in the promotion season. Are you telling the forum that your ST was cancelled or database history blocked / cancelled / deleted to prevent you buying tickets ?

I had an executive box and table in the restaurant. I really don’t have to prove to anyone really. Oh! I also paid for the supporters club refit and paid for the original Ted Mac stand to go up. Anyone got a pic of the then Parkcrest Stand? Love to see it
I also paid to get us out of imminent liquidation but I didn’t court the press as my £2k suit and silk hankie are at the dry cleaners

So you're not being prevented from getting a ticket, you believe you're entitled to one ?

Entitled? No.
Mostin and Blake entitled now or in the future? I guess from your comments you would say yes. The forum not the best place to explain the facts. Most important thing today for me is that we have a team to support and it’s down in part, to individuals who never chose to be on Sky Sports!

None of us 'chose' to be on Sky sports, it used to be a dirty word. Those of us lobbing money in the the buckets at the Winter gardens for example ever dreamt the club would reach its current level. Absolutely we had a degree of entitlement thinking we'd all done our bit in saving the club years ago but things have moved on. I'm just wondering how long the sense of entitlement lasts.

You said the club had prevented you from getting tickets ever since. I was just interested in exactly how - now we know that they haven't done anything of the sort. (The mere bucket chuckers on here crawl though hoops btw but still manage)

Can understand Valencians gripe.

Some love to court the press and sing from the hill tops whilst others who have put a lot in, don't seek the accolades.

Just because their input isn't public, certainly shouldn't diminish its value.

We all know Jeff loves a public profile and the cameras.

Yep fair play to the guy. There have been thousands of sponsors over the years, fans who put their hands in their pockets, Investors (good and bad). He's a longstanding fan, we know that. I'm not sure what the freebie / corporate ticket situation exactly is but it isn't huge as they simply can't fit in everyone who saved the club in the past ;)...

We all know there was a virtual clean sweep when Max took over (with the obvious exception), I was more intrigued if he was being actively excluded and why.

The point is - there is nothing to stop anyone buying the ground from Structadene - it wouldn’t take permission from the Club. It would take a fair chunk of cash but with sufficient investors and possibly a commercial mortgage it needn’t be beyond reasonable aspiration. The thing is we’ve never been told how much Structadene want - only Mostyn‘s vague reference to ‘as much as a Premier League striker’. Well we have four of them currently and it varies from £1m to £20m. I’d have thought even at £20m it would be a relative bargain, given the money already spent and the increased cost of building. Smoke and mirrors from the Club and to what end - who knows ? Re Valencian - I can’t validate everything he says but I can confirm a lot of it. If most of what he says is true then I’m prepared to believe the rest of it is likely to be too.
All this is very reminiscent of the Phillips era - when Bristol and West were cast as villainous loan sharks - when they turned out to be far from that. RGB will attest to that as he was the one who contacted them. How do we know Structadene are greedy Landlords when we are given this from certain folk within the Club. Maybe someone could contact them to find out ?

£20m would be a rip off if you looked at it as a regular commercial property transaction. What's the annual rent? £500k or so? That's a 2.5% yield, which would be significantly lower than the best available, i.e. lowest risk property in the country London west end offices and industrial distribution centres are at 3.35% and obviously a football ground is much more risky.

I wasn’t suggesting the Stadium was necessarily valued at £20m - it’s merely in line with our most expensive forward.Top Premier League forwards have gone for £70m plus. Harry Kane was reportedly worth £120m. This is where the statement made by Mostyn was ‘smoke and mirrors’. Only Structadene know what they currently would want to sell - as I’ve no doubt the figure will have changed since the Club last seriously enquired. It’s all conjecture without a ‘horses mouth’ valuation. What is clear though, is that to build what we have from scratch would be in excess of £20m and possibly even more than £30m. I’d love to see BPC buy the Stadium on a shared basis with fan investors ideally. The club would have security and in the event of a Stadium move in the future the equity could be transferred to the new facility - securing the investors money.

Just need to look at the Aberdeen Stadium thread to understand anything we would require would cost 'a lot' more than £30m...

However, having looked at the plans, I am wondering if that £70m includes all the academy pavilion and training grounds as well... ? If it does then £70m doesn't actually sound that bad at all...
