Training ground

There ain't gonna be no new Trainin' Ground this side of next Pancake Day...t' aint appnin' Popeye !

- even though we been a PL and Championship club for nearly 10 years !

And nobody knows bugger all .....not even the mouse that sleeps under the radiator in Wimborne Minster.
The nonsense speculation gets worse every season innit..

I wouldn't rely on Alexa - I just asked her to play me happy birthday and as you can't ask for specific songs - without extra charge - she said she would play me something based on my choice - guess what I got - 'congratulations' , 'having a party' etc etc - nope 'Jingle Bells' !! How far away from Christmas can you get ? One major laugh later - Jingle Bells will be played every year.
Back on topic - it's good news that actual work has started.

Poole Towns history of relocating and building a new Ground failures:
1/ Turlin Moor
2/ Sharing with Hamworthy United
3/ Canford Heath
4/ Branksome Rec
5/ Bear Wood

I sincerely hope they get a decent new Stadium but the political and community naivety plus incomplete funding has seen them fail time and again. I'll believe this when I see it. However, a 6,000 capacity white elephant would be plain stupidity. A phased approach is confirmed by PT and unless they progress to League level I v much doubt much more than a decent main stand would ever be built.

It would be nice if you shared your opinion on a topic once in a while instead of just mocking those who are willing to share theirs.
I don’t really have an opinion on Poole Town.
Although I hope they find a permanent home.

I just noted the content of your post and thought it a mild version of a Waz type post, that by the end of the thread would have resulted in an hysterical outburst.

Just to add…
As KingKeiffer you started off very positive and non confrontational, as the weeks have gone on you’ve gradually started to revert to your alter ego.

Will be interesting to hear what the location is when they get that far. Not much in Poole itself available you'd think, after all finding them a plot has been such an issue for so many years. Assume out of town somewhere.

Then comes to the question of funding it, 10m? God knows we can't fund projects without a mixture of Max and PL money so it would be interesting to know more about what the private investment is. Eddie Mitchell says hi? ;)

AFCB announce a new project - “It’ll never happen”
Poole Town do likewise - “Disaster, they’ll be bigger than us soon”
Absolutely Rob and the Poole Town ground is still 5 years away - according to their own Board (of Directors) - if there are no hitches. I see the latest Supporters Experience Group (or whatever its called) minutes are now out and some additional detail is there. Apparently the first phase - 3G pitch is scheduled for completion with the contractors for the end of September and then they go onto the indoor dome.
The impression is that at least we'll see the basic infrastructure completed this Season that should enable the Academy to go for Category 2. Beyond that I'm guessing will be down to finances and which Division we are in next year.

I can't see how 10m would cover the purchase of land and the build of 6k stadium but will be interesting where they break ground
