Jay Mellette

I think Jim's claim will be easy to check because the baseline seems pretty low. We always seem to have a pretty severe injury list. I guess I'm assuming that "performance" expertise will translate to injury avoidance, but maybe not.

Something to evaluate at the season end rather than beginning.

Bringing him in looks like a good move by the club.

I’d quite forgotten he’d joined us. I’ve not seen much difference yet on the pitch but there’s certainly been a huge improvement in the players jet pilot flying skills.

Brilliant. I wasn’t being overly serious. He’s also spent time in the MLS, which I’d omitted for comedic effect.

I’ll get my coat.
The problem is your joke has sounded far more sensible than a lot of the serious posts we've had recently.

No I won't be. However, I hope his knowledge will get our injured players back on the pitch very soon. We are short on numbers and the longer they are missing the more points we will drop.
So our success is down to just him? No don't think so.

In actual fact I'd be surprised if his focus isn't more on the prevention than cure. He is director of performance so it'll be hoe we can get more out if them
