Which is brilliant news as we should get the 200m for him the Saudis are going to put behind Salah.Getting it back on topic.....Dango Ouattara is, in my book, as good as ANY player in the PL !
The fee is a red herring when it’s between 2 clubs of the same stable. Similar to us getting le Faivre and loaning to l’’orientAs others have said, jury is still out. For 20m, I'd expect a regular contribution to goals/assists from a winger.
However Dango is young and should improve, especially under AI. He's had some champagne moments and he's produced some absolutely shocking performances (think Everton away) but that's not unusual for a 21 year old.
The left back thing is a bonus for sure, if he can fill in there when required then he's saved us 5-10m already.
With everyone fit, will he get the games needed to develop? I don't think 20 or 30 minutes here or there will be sufficient.
He looked good in pre -season and then was injured so hard to get that match fitness mid way through the season. Expect he is sharper fitness wise than any point since last seasonHe's not really had a clear run in the team this season to say he's been poor IMO- one 90 min outing in the cup. And everything pre-Newcastle the squad was littered with underperforming players not understanding the system and poor link up play so a bit unfair to single him out.
The last 2 games he's been excellent and contender for MoM both times.

Agreed. His performances against Forest and Fulham were excellent.Getting it back on topic.....Dango Ouattara is, in my book, as good as ANY player in the PL !
You’re starting to rant. Time to post on your soap box thread.I think there is much crap talked on Forums about players...we have to acknowledge the fact that they go on the field with 'instructions' from managers who half the time don't know what the f√ck they are doing..just experimenting in desperation so to speak...and things can also change in that respect.
I mean, just listen to some of the f√cking incomprehensible mumbling that Guardiola and Arteta offer up when things ain't going to plan.
And that's at the Success end....and We don't even have a tenth of the knowledge they have.
Then there is 'form' and players 'moods'.
It's all in there Batman !
Nor Woody. He got us into the playoffs when things had gone wrong.I can see where you are coming from but I don't think many would say that Parker was a bad appointment, he did his job which was to get promotion. Sure it all went south after that but I don't think many would argue that it was a bad appointment.
I thinknit's clear that Man U's recruitment has been the worst in the PL, followed closely by Chelsea.Only here with certain "fans" we have the worst recruitment team in the league, yet we all agree we're playing the best football we've seen at DC.
Ask Everton, Chelsea, man u, forest, what poor recruitment is.
Also, he wouldn't be the first player away from home to struggle to pick up the language there. Can local man hold a full on convo in English yet? Didn't hold him back on the pitch. Its really rude. In effect you're calling him stupid.
You attribute both performances at left back solely to the quality of the opposition.
Seen a lot of Faivre? Cook yes you have an unnatural obsession. Dango is still young, billing was our top scorer last year.Semenyo, Zabarnyi, Kluivert, Senesi, Kelly (when he wants to put himself about for a new contract) Smith, Christie, Neto,
The Outtaras, the Billings, the Faivres, the Cooks.
No.
We are a PL football team, not a charity.
Let's not let history be a predictor of the future.when Billing and Dango came on we lost the game.Seen a lot of Faivre? Cook yes you have an unnatural obsession. Dango is still young, billing was our top scorer last year.
Yes we lost the game when they came on, but I dont tend to write players off based on one performance.Let's not let history be a predictor of the future.when Billing and Dango came on we lost the game.
Sorry you didn't see it, but it's a fact
