David Brooks

Brooksy apparently had a pearler today...a top scoring 8.2 performance on the Flashscore ratings and taking Saints to a 5-3 Win from 0-2 at half -time and before he came on at 46 minutes.....whereupon he assisted Rothwell who scored twice.

Something that bothers me though.....what might Fraser have to say to them both about Boscombe that might influence them about moving on !

Rothwell and Brooks turned the game for them which brings me back to the point of why are we helping our closest rivals back into the top flight rather than slamming the door on them, building a stadium and getting the best kids in a category A academy.

Stategically dumb decision. Hate seeing our players doing well in a scum shirt.

Pleased for them they are playing well but it should be somewhere else like Kieffer did.

Just shows the can play Championship football, they have both proved they are not Premier League players.

Brooks and Rothwell would be sitting on the bench here, just like Moore, now they are ripping the championship up and doubling their value.
On current form Brooks is miles ahead of Tavernier and Semenyo (who slightly improved). I would have kept him because he looked different class against Swansea, back to his best, but he was pi$$ poor against QPR.

I guess not everyone sees them as our biggest rivals.

That doesn't make much sense given how often the sides have faced each other throughout history. Older generations have a lot less reason to see Southampton as rivals than youngsters.
I think we’re just less tolerant maybe then! Everyone I know and go to Bournemouth with or drink with hates Southampton (look how many songs feature that). On here though there’s much less acrimony and people glad we are helping them. I just can’t relate to that so am assuming (maybe wrongly) it’s the younger generation.

I don't know about glad we are helping them - the only positive about that is it's quite funny that they need our help, and that our fringe players are world beaters in their side.

Personally I don't like them and want them to fail ... but I have a lot more respect for Saints fans, or any other non top six type club, than I do Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United fans. Especially those who aren't from the place where the club is from.

Strategically I will always believe that it’s in our interests to be the most successful club in a geography. Nothing should have been sanctioned that could long term affect that position. They were fine players that other teams would want

it may be just on here
plenty of nippers near me in the away end last season giving it the biggun to some scum knuckled-draggers, and one tip-rat of a home steward, when their "goal" was chalked off

is the difference in standard now so great they'll have another nightmare season if they got promoted?
which would be hilarious
