Dominic Solanke

With Solanke signing a new 4 year deal last September, if our club don’t want to sell, wouldn’t think it makes much difference being January or the Summer.

In the Summer you would possibly have a better chance of finding a replacement, although a lot of other clubs will look for a regular scoring striker.

But finding a regular goalscorer like Solanke has been this season won’t be easy, unless our club take a chance on someone from the lower leagues.

Personally I hope Bill Foley sticks to his word that the door is shut and bolted.

I am sure that our brightest and best players would want to prove themselves on the biggest stage, which isn’t something we can offer. So it makes sense to sell on on the very best players when we can.

No one on here seems to begrudge Nathan Ake’s opportunity to go to Man City and I for one would be glad to see Solanke’s hard work rewarded by a move to a top club, with a decent fee in return.
Timing for us is everything though .Ake left as that dog season ended and our team of heroes had given up on each other and the manager …
Dom is in a purple patch as the team are …. We are seeing the fruits of AI ball , DOM is absolutely integral to it .
Now , if he himself knocks on the manager’s door and says he wants to go well we have to have that conversation…
But we shouldn’t prompt him in anyway .

This post has it about right !
It's about Not disrupting the team unless the player himself makes it necessary.

Funny Money aside...protecting Andoni's Grip on the Zip... is the Bizz !
